You know what I think? I think that if you act one way online and another way in person, then isn't it strange if you ever meet up with someone?

For instance, let's say you act like you're this sweet, softspoken, calm person online who works as a photographer and listens to classical music. You meet someone who loves these qualities about you. They meet up with you, and in REAL LIFE, you're loud and lewd and work in a McDonalds, spinnin' heavy metal out the boombox... they're gonna run like hell!

I don't see a point in changing who you are as a person, because chances are, if people don't like who your REALLY are, then you shouldn't want to associate with them anyway.

IMO, of course. batting eyes

You're about the same, really. A very confident, fun, outgoing type of guy, but also sensitive to the other person's level of confidence.

Very easy to get along with.

I'd say you're chill and Erin's intense.

My communication style is no different in real life as far as my choice of words, depending on who you are.

I don't curse and talk about my balls to people I don't know. Not because I'm trying to impress them but out of respect for the fact some folks get offended by it. On the threads here, you can chose to ignore my posts. Some vapid cunts in M&M, however, can't seem to get that.

Also, I'm more inclined to give my opinion online, because these threads are about debate a lot of time--the exchange of knowledge and ideas. We're not suppose to be monolithic in our thinking and the premise behind a lot of these threads is to have sort of a discussion around those differences. Some vapid cunts from M&M though don't get that.

But in real life, I'll often not express my opinions on something if I know it will change the dynamic of 'dinner conversation' or 'bar talk' not because of fear, but because I'd rather the mood by light and fun. Nobody wants Rasputin sitting at a table when discussing a mundane topic. For example, if I'm sitting at a bar, and one of the women talks about how much she loves Kevin Costner (and I hate Kevin Costner... HATE HIM) if it's apparent to me that expressing my opinon of him will upset her, I won't give my two cents--what's the point, and who important is it that my opinions are expressed in luie of that? They're not. So I just shut up.

So, I guess the short answer is yes, I'm quite different in real life. lol

It's just in large crowds I have a tendancy to migrate towards one or two people (I'm a 'small group' guy lol ). So I migrated towards Carrie and Karen. I didn't know they were going to be so controversial during that trip and start boxing matches with everyone else though--they're really quite unpredictable that way.

It's funny: Depending on the subject, you come across very serious and on others, you are freakin' hysterical. You are very warm in real life. i don't think that translates sometimes on here.
