I had cornrows for about a year. it wasn't hot disbelief

Others can pull it off but it just wasn't workin' for me.

When De La Soul dropped their first CD in 1989, I found the whole B-Boy/hippie thing strangely liberating. I let my close-cropped fade grow into a sort of spirally Barton Fink explosion on top smile

... and I had my stylist shave various lines, peace signs, etc. in the back. disbelief

My mother was HORRIFIED, and that sort of thing is sooo not me today. But tons of people seemed to love it at the time. My stylist got a lot of new business out of it, too.
