Australia Day Today was Australia day in Oz (26/1)
Fellow aussie orgers, how did you spend the day? My family spent the day celebrating my sons birthday ( a day early!!) pressies in the morning, afternoon with his friend...then pizza hut for dinner Ps..happy birthday for tomorrow Ben... i love you tacos and cake tomorrow night seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before | |

I have to say I forgot all about it until I went out to get coffee and saw how full the local was!!! But shouldn't a country need to actually have achieved something to warrant a holiday?
I mean, America gave the world Madonna, Michael Jackson, the cotton gin, and the beetles. Certainly, this is a bit premature to be celebrating one's country just because of Kylie Minogue and Midnight Oil. | |
