new super mario bros wii (can also be played up to 4 people at a time)
mario party 8
mario kart
boom blox

for older kids or adults... resident evil, RE 0, and RE 4 are AWESOME

get the games used though... they're a lot cheaper. amazon is great for that.

another cool side of the wii is it will play all the old gamecube games if you have one. if not you can get GC stuff for really really cheap. the only downside is they have to be playeed with the GC controllers.

you can also download classic nintendo games on their wii shop.

lol

smart smart move.

the listed ones here pretty much represent the best. the problem with wii over ps3 or xbox is there's a lot of filler titles, and only a handful of good ones.... so far.

We have a Wii too!!! woot!

go here for great info & reviews!! ----> http://www.gamespot.com/r...ficial=all

We have Wii Sports (Popularity? Bowling, Tennis, Boxing, Golf, Baseball - in that order...). We have MarioKart which is a BLAST once you get used to the drving style. We have WiiFitPlus which has all kinds of great light athletic games (better'n being a couch potato!). The kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the obstacle course...

and then, sadly, we got this 'Barbie' game (for the girls) and man, what a let down... doh! side scrolling platform game but it's just SO SO WEAK! What I'm trying to say here is do your research carefully, don't buy on impulse (doh!) and try to buy used. That trollop just cost me $50 I didn't NEED to send her way... pissed

I looked up lists like: 25 best wii games of 2009 and read the reviews to make my choices, I bought one called Okami, does anyone know that one? hmmm I haven't tried it yet.

FauxReal

I like Mario Kart and Mario Party. The new Mario side-scroller is fun, but frustrating at times.

The Lego-based games are all decent for the most part.
