Viruses suck

What are your thoughts about which free program to use?

I am currently clicking to a website using yahoo search engine and I get re-directed to other sites (usually other search engines, or web-survey type stuff).

And, I had the internet security 2010 virus last week (I think I may still have a touch of it, but at least the pop ups have stopped).

Help!

I have Trend antivirus protection for a couple of more days. It's not catching some of these viruses, but catches tons of cookies. Am thinking about going to Norton. BTW, I pay for these programs, but run free ones to hopefully catch whatever Trend can't.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I had AVG and it did the job very well but it was a bit of a resource hog so. I switched -Microsoft Security Essentials, it's free and you can download as long as your OS is legit. http://www.microsoft.com/...ssentials/

I'm everywhere on the web on one of my laptops and it's caught everything and cleared/cleaned all malware/viruses.
