MEMO: This thread is NOT intended to be another PC vs. Mac discussion. This thread is intended to help me save money if there is a PC laptop that can match the performance of the MacBook at a lower price. Otherwise, I'll end up trying to save $1,000 (before tax) for a MacBook.

So far, I only know about Sony Vaio. The ones from the CW series & SR Series are very good match-up.

I'm sure it has, we got ours a year ago and it's freakin' solid... the best part may have to be the HDMI output though... we plug it into our BFTV and stream Netflix and whatnot...

Just make sure it's silent and doesn't have too much fan noise.
