Of course I care. It is never a clear cut issue though - a person can dislike me because they may see something in me that they dislike in themselves. If it is due to my behaviour, then I'm interested in feedback so that maybe I can look at what is going on for me.

Yes I do. I dont know why but I want people to like me.

If I hate someone then I dont care that they dislike me. That's ok.

I agree, I care if they have a reason. I care if they are good people.

It would also be important for me to clear up what has caused these feelings, for both myself and the other person involved.

They would have to be sincere and honest with me - I have a problem with people who lie to me, or about me to others. I prefer to discuss it with that person, not to hear it from others.

They must be willing to listen, however, and if I see that their goal is to hurt me, then I will cut ties.

I think that most everybody wants to be liked. I care if I like that person.

Other than that, there is not really a great deal you can do if somebody has decided they don't like you.

just for a second, then I remember that they don't even know me, so I stop caring.

There are those who will dislike someone because of their own issues. I don't care about that.

There are those who will dislike you because of something you did or said. If I respected them in the first place, did some honest soul searching and knew I was wrong, I'd care about that and try to fix the situation.

If I respected them in the first place, did some honest soul searching, and knew I was NOT wrong, I couldn't be bothered with caring. Worry and/or stress can kill you. There's enough to worry about than to worry about something you weren't at fault for.

What is there to dislike about me

I could care less if people like me or not. It really doesn't bother me what they think about me or say about me. If they don't like me, they don't like me. That's fine.


What I DO care about is if I hurt someone or embarrass them without meaning to do so. That is something that I can't stand and something that takes me a long time to get over.

Yes, and no.

I don't like when someone attacks me for no reason. Most times I can ignore the situation. But I get my feelings hurt easily.
