Anderson Cooper Is A Superhero.. Now With Graphic Video

http://ac360.blogs.cnn.co...ing-chaos/

We were covering another story when we heard shots being fired. We ran toward the sound and found a store being looted. Two Haitian police officers were occasionally firing into the air to try to keep order, but that only worked for a few moments, then the looting would begin again.

continued after....

i always knew he was a amazing journalist.

he went out and could have gotten himself killed.

It´s interesting how a picture can change someone´s view of someone depending on what picture you use and how you use it.
They showed the same man, Anderson Cooper, tonight on German TV , and it was just him standing or squatting next to a girl halfway buried in the remnants of a collapsed building, and on the show they were discussing how voyeuristic journalism has become, and whether it´s ethically okay to go as far as Anderson Cooper, who was of course portrayed as a prime example of a voyeuristic, greedy journalist but the pictures in this thread show the opposite, the man has saved a kid´s life. And it´s also important to have courageous journalists who are not afraid of going to dangerous places in order to inform the rest of the world.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

^I can understand the idea of the extreme voyeuristic that the news media has become, but Anderson is a different bird. He got his start by basically, without a contract to any news organization and a fake press pass, went to Burma and interviewed students that were trying to overthrow the government. He also did the same style of reporting in Bosnia. He thrives when hes in the field, be it hurricanes or battle fields.

Plus he did this.

First time I've ever seen that. He rightfully made her look foolish for ducking the question and instead giving shout-outs.

Anderson is an old college chum of my best friend ( I met him attending a graduation at Yale, his hair was still dark then!)and I've always held tremendous respect for him through the years. These photos are just the tip of the iceberg in term of the work he's done and the horrors he's seen since he became a journalist many years ago. I also like his written work and have always followed his columns. People might misunderstand him or like to make fun of him because of his pedigree and (somewhat) ambiguous sexual orientation, but what most people don't know is that he's always spent a good deal of his professional time in conflict areas, tripping over land mines, or chronicling the lives of child soldiers, in the middle of bomb zone, or being drenched in someone else's blood. To me is he's a great thinker, an even greater global citizen, and definitely the last of a dying breed of journalist in our country.

I really can't think of any good reason why, but I've never liked Anderson Cooper. This thread has totally changed my mind.

CO-SIGN! clapping

It's not surprising especially after reading his autobiographical book.
I think when he was younger he had a death wish . .. .
