Munsters vs. Addams family which show do you like best?

just between the two shows?

Same thing... neither, really.

They were very different. Munsters were parodies of popular spooks, whereas The Addams Family were just a bunch of weirdos. Addams was always darker in mood too. The overly emotive Lurch, the bitchy daughter (trivia, her middle name was Friday), the clueless son, the weird aunt, plus cousin It, and Thing T. Thing (the hand which was also performed by Lurch actor Ted Cassidy), the insatiable husband and the ever-loving wife.
The Munsters were just Frankenstein's monster fucking a vampire. It was more campy than Addams. Both were fun shows and I enjoyed both as a kid. | |

Addams Family hands down, though the munsters did have a rockin theme song.

^Ill say it, the munsters was just a bad rip off of the addams family. It was utter shit, which is fine but it made little sense. Frankenstein father/hubby, Vampire Grandfather, I never figured out what the wife/daughter was??? a wolfboy son??? how the hell did that happen??? N oh hot blond chick how normal.

The Herman/Grandpa comedic chemistry was great!
I laughed at them as a kid and it's still funny stuff even today. I just recently rented(and burned) the entire DVD collection. | |

The Munsters show was just plain dumb. When I was a kid I thought it was funny, but as an adult I find it incredibly stupid.
The Addams Family was much smarter and more subversive. I have the entire series on DVD. | |
