The Addams family is so rich in depth.

I think so many do not understand Chas Addams gift. He's almost as good as Edward Gorey.

Has there ever been a Edward Gorey Thread?

FauxReal

I was too young back when my mom would watch reruns to really remember either and I haven't really watched them as an adult, but even so, I've always found The Addams Family the more interesting of the two. So if I were going to watch one, I guess it'd be that.

Now that is a hard one!

I have to go with The Munsters, Herman was one funny crazy fool.

Wish they made special with both the addams & the munsters.

It's like comparing 2 Live Crew to A Tribe Called Quest.

Or James Blunt to Robbie Williams.

Or Type O Negative to Fields Of The Nephilim.

She died of cancer as did John Wayne. Some folks theorize that since both worked on the film Genghis Khan, which was filmed on a former nuclear test site, that it may have contributed to both deaths as well as other members of the cast and crew who also died of cancer.

Interesting. Why in the hell would anyone do any thing on a former nuclear test site?

lol Because the government said it was safe, of course. Nuclear fallout half-life is relatively short, but...

Oh, damn. My bad. It wasn't Yvonne De Carlo from the movie, it was Agnes Moorehead. duh Yvonne De Carlo died a natural death. And the movie was not "Genghis Khan", but The Conquerer, which was about Genghis Khan.

Addams Family, no debate. headbang

The Addamses were strange and subversive and dark, and there were often several layers to the humour. Even going back now as an adult and watching it I pick up things that went right over my head when I was younger. Someone already mentioned Edward Gorey: for the longest time I used to confuse his work and Chaz Addams. boxed

The Munsters is just a bunch of Halloween costumes assembled into a cheesy sitcom.
