Filipinos, Vietnamese and splattering of Japanese, for the most part. All the "others" I'm not familiar with at all. Heck, since Filipinos are considered Pacific Islanders, I'm not even sure if their actually considered Asian, are Samoans Asian? They don't look it to me but they're Pacific Islanders, some Mexicans look completely Asian, but they're Latino, or did that change too here recently. This crap gets more confusing every frikkin' year. So unless your last name ends up similar to Nguyen or Fukushima I gave up trying to figure it out long time ago, you tell me what you are and we'll both know, outside of that I haven't a frikkin clue.

I don't think of anything in particular when I think of Asians except that
I do find it strange how many people can't tell the nationality of an Asian person. Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Philipino all have different physical characteristics

i've had some wonderful asian friends in my life! and my 3-cousins are asian, and their dad. they are beautiful!!!

Obviously my main thoughts about Asians concerns specifically Thai ppl. There are largely common shared traits I love about Thai people and others I find frustrating. I find the people friendly in general, easy-going, not aggressive or antagonistic about many issues, but sometimes too passive or apathetic about things, too content to let things be in other situations. Conformist, certainly. Tolerant and patient, but not always deep-thinking or open-minded beyond the simple easy-going nature on the surface.

Regarding Koreans, I find their hair and super groups hilarious. Japanese people I see as quirky and trend-setting in the region. Far more creative and individual than Thais, for example. Lots of pleasant sheep here in the Land of Smiles.
