I was so happy for Monique. She totally deserved it. Amy Poehler looked great. Avatar was not the best movie necessarily but its an awe inspiring visual masterpiece.

Ivy, I half agree with you about Avatar. The Hurt Locker should have beaten it, and even Cameron said so.

But I loved Avatar. While the story itself is nothing special, it is lifted by the animation and special effects, both of which set a significant new standard in movie-making, in my opinion.

Mo deserved that award for Precious. Any actor/actress that makes me want to kill them simply because of their portrayal of a fictional character is infinitely talented.
