i agree with this but he's more of a c-list. he is absolutley useless, i don't get his hype.

Janet Jackson - a dreadful voice, so-so everything else except her looks after lypo and a starvation diet or countless hours a ta gym before a tour. And absolutely pointless, forgettable tunes outside of a handful. Long before Britney, Spice Girls, etc. Janet set the bar on what a forgettable talent should sound like. "When I think of you" could possibly one of the worst pop singles released by an A-list singer, ever. To say that I am perplexed by her popularity would be inaccurate--I understand why she is popular. And the afterglow of an exponentially more gifted and popular brother reinforces her likeliness of success and celebrity status. But, she sucks so completely, sooooo irrecoverably, that her lack of talent threatens to unhinge the balance of the cosmos and cause all of creation to come crashing in on itself. Little orphans weep.

Kevin Costner - He is to movies what Janet Jackson is to music. How in the hell his boring ass got the movie rights to play Robinhood is way, way beyond me.

And finally, I'd like to add one to the list: Janet Jackson.... again... and for all the reasons stated above, and so, so ,sooooo much more.

Yes, I do. lol I meant what I said, lol. Carrie Underwood, and even Kelly Pickler sing better than Taylor too. I have relatives who love country music, so I'm aware of what a good voice sounds like in that genre.

If Swift had started out older, instead of a teenager talking about high school drama, she would not be as popular as she is. Young girls are keeping her famous, lol.

Duh that's why shes A. Don't confuse popularity with talent. If that was the case Vadge would still be waiting tables.

lol But this thread is ABOUT the talent, ha ha.

what's sad is not giving janet any credit at all. she has a nice voice, no one said she's a powerhouse but to say it's dreadful is a bit much. she has many memorable songs and she's not forgettable, she's an icon. she can dance her ass of and she's not a bad actress either.

Haven't seen her act since the TV stuff she did in the '80s ('70s?), so I don't know about that. She seems to lip-synch an awful lot. She's not my type, but I know a buncha guys dig her. If they didn't, would they give a flying fig about her? shrug Her whole persona gets on my tits.

You like her.
I think she sucks.

But it's not important that we disagree. We're aloud to disagree. hug
What's important is that ultimately, she sucks despite our individual differences of opinion. hug

Poor old Janet - are we bashing her again? Actually, I like a fair number ofher songs, her Rhythm Nation tour was a lot more fun than her brothers, but her voice is pants, yes, pants.

Michael Cera definitely belongs in the list

He plays the same character in every movie neutral

I love Michael Cera, though. I agree, his characters are all variations on a same theme, but I think he knows his strengths and plays to them well. In a few years he'll really be able to branch out, but he'll always have that Michael Cera thing, no matter what. I think that's awesome.

I think he's gonna be like this generation's John Cusack. He didn't exactly have a Lloyd Dobler role, but it's kinda close. The lovable nerd/dork/whatever just outside of center. There will be a certain kinda girl that's gonna remember that fondly for the rest of her life and there will always be that "awww..." kinda thing and he'll be able to find roles for the rest of his life.

so what you're saying is you're a hipster and Cera is obviously the indie-rock Robert Pattinson...

i find these actors more likeable than exceptionally talented:

cameron diaz
george clooney
jennifer aniston

I loved Cameron in Mask, but she started to play the SAAAAME "air head/dumb blonde" role since [i]My Best Friend's Wedding[/i, nothing about this woman screams a stretch.

Now George lol gooooorgeous as he is, it still ain't enough to keep me up 1/2 way through his movies, lord that man bores me.

Loooove Rachel Green, can't stand Jennifer Aniston. ALL of her movies are centered around the same role; the good girl lol Like Cameron, no stretch.

Ok, now for my list:

Nicole Kidman - How is this walking corpse a hollywood royalty is beyond me.

Tom Cruise - Intense,,,,,ALL. THE. TIME. lol my god.

Will Smith - I'm sorry, I STILL can't stop cringing whenever I see him in a "serious" role, he'll always be the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with those pair of big ass plates on each side of his head.

Renee Zellweger - The girl with the permanent "tart taste" facial expression.

I like Nicole Kidman. She was excellent in the film "Australia." Plus, I think she has a great face for the screen, like Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie. I think they're all good actresses. shrug

I like Will Smith as well, but I can't help but to laugh at him, since he always runs down a street, hollers, and gets angry in all of his movies. My uncle said that Will is the modern day Carl Weathers. lol

But Jennifer Aniston? I totally agree with you and Priceless. I don't understand why she's an A-list celebrity. disbelief

I love Ms.Jolie, even more than her daddy nod (and I prefer 70s movies btw).

I think the folks who undermine her talent paid more attention to the "off with the homewrecker's head" crusade they forgot that the girl is BAD love Gia, Girl Interrupted, The Bone Collector, Mr. & Mrs.Smith,,,I even loved her early film Hackers lol but my fave is and always will be The Original Sin love

As for Nicole, her acting leaves me so cold I begin to think that the morgue must be a warmer place,,,,the woman seems like she goes through a painful process to pronounce her expressions. Like Scarlett Johansson, her only saving grace the choice of movies she make.

As for Halle,,,,meh, I could take her or leave her. BUT the only film where she truly showed her true talent was "Losing Isaiah" IMO.

Her next movie where she's having a split personality looks intersting though hmmm

falloff

i agree there's something so aloof about her, although i think its what helps her in some of her roles, like her characters in The Interpreter and The Hours.

another one i never got was Ashley Judd when she used to be everywhere, her movie choices i often enjoyed, but i had to wait on the DVDs so i can FF the crying scenes.

now:

Original Sin

i love love especially that last gambling scene. i also thought the chemistry between those two was just insane!

Yeah,,,I can def with a lil' subtle/aloof performance every now & then, but with her it seems like its FAAAAAR from a choice.

Now, I think its reverse when it comes to her.

Good acting, bad movies. She & Angela Bassett are victims of bad directors, I'm positive that with the right approach, they could make good movies.

I'd love to see her doing a Southern Belle ala Scarlett O'Hara type of role nod she has all the ingredients.
