Faithless.....or Realists?

Faithless for sure. They don't have any faith that there's a God, so with respect to that issue, that makes them faithless.

Where we disagree is whether they are realists or not.

I didn't like it. The acting was horrible. Gary Oldman ought to give back the money they paid him. And what was the deal with his right-hand man? Torn between good and evil, or what? Worst death scene in history.

I had no problem with Mila Kunis, except that every time she opened her mouth, I heard Meg Griffin.

The only good part of the movie was when they went to those old peoples' home.

And I am not even sure what the twist was at the end. I won't spoil it for those of you determined to waste your money on this, but IMO even the twist was ambiguous. Was he, or did he just have a book meant for someone else?

I am willing to suspend my disbelief when I go to the movies, but the whole premise of why there were no more Bibles around was just plain stupid. Although, there is a contingent in P&R that will absolutely love that premise. When they explained the lack of Bibles, I could almost hear my faithless friends cheering with glee, LOL.

So anyway, big bummer in my opinion.

WHOA!!!

OK, I haven't seen it yet, but I have seen every movie with Gary Oldman, and he is one of the greatest actors ever. True method actor, like a chameleon.

Yeah, he's a great actor but not this time, IMHO.

What would u say 2 someone who believes in a "Creator" but not in the God that humans have created?

I want to see "Legion". I think it looks cool.

In my defense, I didn't think the previews of "The Book of Eli" were any good. All they showed was Denzel killing people, and while he's a great actor, he is no Arnold or Sly Stallone. So I wasn't buying him as a killing machine going in.

But my son wanted to see it, and so I ditched going to a great high school basketball game for this. The way I see it, he owes me $9.50.

He doesn't see it that way, though.

Arnold and Sly would KILL to have 1/4 of Denzel's acting ability!
He can play a Teacher, A lawyer, a hood, a cop, all convincingly. That brother has range as an actor!
OK, got that off of my chest.
The only thing I didn't care for in the movie was that there was no real explanation for what happened to cause the disaster. That aside, the movie wasn't bad and I enjoyed it for the most part.

I didn't mean to say Arnold and Sly were better actors than Denzel, only that they are better killing machines than he is. Sorry to get you riled up, LOL!
