Where are they now? Kids from 1971 Willy Wonka movie

Hope this isn't a duplicate thread. I searched and did not see one.

I saw this today and thought it was cool! giggle

Oh, I loved this movie when I was a kid biggrin , and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Looks like the kids all have aged well, but they don't resemble how I remember them in the movie.. well, maybe for MikeTeeVee, and what the hell, Augustus Gloop is still wearing Leiderhosen ? hmm

In the audio commentary on the DVD, the director mentions that he purposely filmed it in Germany (Hamburg), since he didn't want people to recognize as some random American city. The city was never named in the film, but different accents were heard, namely British and American, which added to the Fantasy element of it all I guess. geek

the film was a major trip, Will forever lives on in my viewings of getting twisted into the other dimension.

The 'stache and specs notwithstanding, the guy who played Charlie hasn't changed much in the face.

It's kind of strange to see these "kids" as adults. Except for the 'stache Charlie looks pretty much the same.
