Madea's One Big Happy Family Has anyone started to see this show yet? I hear it's one of the best plays. I cannot WAIT for it to come to Minnesota!!! i cant believe he is playing in a large venue like the Target Center in Minneapolis though, but I guess the other theaters were just too packed to try and fit everyone in there at once. I remamber he had to add a show last time. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I haven't seen it yet, but I'll bank on the fact that it is probably HILARIOUS. I do nothing professionally. I only do things for fun. johnart: Acrylic's old bras is where tits of all sizes go to frolic after they die. Tit Heaven.

I live in the Detroit area. It looks like we won't be seeing it until May but thanks for the heads up. I hadn't even heard about it yet. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Saw it Wednesday, at the Sports Arena which is a pretty big venue here, it was packed. My son got me tickets for it for Christmas. Since this is the first live performance I've seen of the the whole Madea phenomenon I don't know if it was the best, but it was hilarious, different than the movies obviously. I'm not giving anything away, except if you get front row seats don't come late cause Madea will stop the play and have words with you, and don't let her catch you taking a bunch of pictures either. He got a few of his new cast members from YouTube and they can sang. There's something for those who like ole skool music. And he did address Spike Lee's comments. Yes, we all like different things.
Sorry to hear that his mother passed about a month ago.

Sorry to hear that his mother passed about a month ago. Yeah, I got the email about his mom and sent my condolences. I hope the play comes to our city eventually but I didn't see it listed. I missed the last one with Tamar because I got sick and had to give my tickets away. Is Tamar in this one? Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

me too. I wonder what get's lost in the film versions. It's the randomness, in his plays sometime they step a bit outside of reality and speak to the audience...there is no audience to speak to in a movie, so they have to act as if it is REAL life. Sometime I can even go on to say that his play is half stand up because Madea can talk about somebody in the audience in a snap and go right back into the play. For example how they randomly stared talking about the old school songs in Made Goes to Jail and everybody just started dancing and singing in step ....it doesnt happen in real life but that what makes his plays work...the fun engagment of the audience but staing within boundaries of the story.
