Iron
Vitamin K
More sleep despite that you feel you get adequate rest. Your body needs more sleep than your mind.

I tried this and it didn't work for me. I believe there's different formulas in different countries.

I never really get baggy eyes, but I do get raccoon eyes as the week progresses from Monday to Friday. By Saturday, I look fine again.

Thank God for concealer! smile

p.s. Drink more water. Most headaches can be cured just by drinking water. When people take a pill and feel instantly better before the pill's even dissolved, it's not the pill that's working super-fast - it's the water you wash it down with! So, drink a pint of water first and if your headache doesn't ease-up within ten minutes after then take a painkiller.

The most recent report I read ( yesterday ) said

it had little to do with sleep

it's all about genetics, gravity and/or water retention

let me go see if I can find the report ...

The Most Common Causes of Puffy Eyes

1. Many people believe that under eye bags are caused by a lack of sleep and there is some truth to that theory. When we’re tired, it’s not just our minds that feel groggy. The lack of sleep affects our muscles, including those that help make our skin look tone. However, sleepiness isn’t the most common cause of those black circles.

2. Genetics is a big factor. Chances are if you have parents who suffer from this same problem then you’re going to stand a good chance of dealing with a similar issue. Some people just have skin coloration that is more likely to darken either in certain conditions or with age. There’s not much you can do to mitigate those causes.

3. Another issue is age. We all know that gravity plays havoc with our bodies, but we may not have imagined it would cause problems to the skin below our eyes, too. The problem is that it does. Plus, there are other affects of aging that cause that puffiness. For one, we normally have deposits of fat around our eyes as a cushion to protect them from damage. As we get older, the fat leaves its areas and starts moving into other parts and that causes puffiness. With age, the skin muscles loosen and the collagen in the skin degrades. These two problems combine and end up leading to bags under eyes.

Dealing with Bags Under Your Eyes

1. Knowing why you have those dark and puffy areas around your eyes may not be much consolation when you look in the mirror. However, there are ways to minimize the problem. For minor problems, make-up can sometimes do wonders. Other temporary options include cold packs that reduce the swelling around the eyes and even the long-touted hemorrhoid cream which reduces puffiness but must be used with caution around the eyes.

2. If you want something that will provide longer lasting improvements, you may need to see a cosmetic surgeon. Injectable products, such as Restalyne, have been effective in improving the sagging. The Restalyne fills up the area. These treatments can last between 6 to 9 months then can be repeated.

3. You can also have a type of surgery known as blepharoplasty which is basically an eyelid lift. The cost of this procedure is a bit pricey at around $6,000, plus you’ll need to have a little time to recuperate and you’ll need to deal with the risks of surgery. However, if you’re fairly young and already having problems with eye drooping, you may want to consider this treatment because it lasts up to two decades. The bottom line is if you already know you have a genetic predisposition to eye bags you might want to start saving up for that eyelid surgery now.

This is correct. The Prep H available in the US doesn't contain BioDyne, which is the component of the cream allegedly helpful with undereye bags, wrinkles, faster wound healing, etc. Prep H w/BioDyne can only be purchased in Canada (or online).

I've had bags below my eyes for years and I bet I've tried practically every cream and home remedy out there to diminish them, with essentially no good results. Getting more rest and drinking more water IS the best advice, also making sure that if you have allergies, that they are being treated because allergies can cause and increase puffiness and dark circles.

I'm seriously considering getting the lower lid surgery someday in the future. I don't care so much about other wrinkles and such but for some reason the eye bags really bother me and make me self-conscious.

I recently purchased Oil of Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller and it worked on the puffiness under my eyes. This was the most shocking part: After applying the product and my puffiness was gone, my eyes felt less tired?! Sounds odd, but I've used it 3 times now and every time I got the same result.

Here's a link to the product: http://www.olay.com/bouti...cts/re1030

Interesting subject...

There is a very large, worldwide population made up of various cultures with genetic "bags" under the eyes.

Many Latin races... Italian, Spanish, South American, Central American, Portugese, etc...

Middle Eastern, Indian, Moroccan, Ethiopian...

U get the point. If you're born with them, it's normal.

My Mom told me as a kid, that if anyone ever said anything about my "circles", not 2 take them seriously... that it's genetic.

I never had a problem, and I'm even attracted 2 Women with them (or without).

I think people are confusing eye bags and dark circles.

Baggy eyes

Dark circles

You can suffer from one or the other - or both together.

I agree with Giovanni. Dark or baggy eyes are mostly genetic and can be attractive on some people. I think the problem is when you don't normally have dark eyes - especially if you're very pale.
