Looks like Conan is going to get $30M to walk away from the Tonight Show and we'll have boring old Jay Leno back at 11:35p to 12:35p. I personally will never watch that Fuckwad Leno again.

^well the whole thing is with the leno show, conan never had a chance of getting an audience. The Leno crowd just followed Leno and then went to bed, while when leno took over there wasn't a johnny carson show airing before him. I'd love to see what leno's ratings would have looked like if Carson was his lead in.

I don't understand why everyone is against Jay. Conan and his crew just apparently didn't garner high ratings like Leno. Jay earned the most viewers of all late-night talk shows for 11 straight seasons, and Conan lost majority of them after a few months, lol. And the only reason Jay's show is failing as well is because of that bad time slot. Conan is not the best successor for that show, and that's just it.

^Well alot of what made Conan fun to watch got neutered when he went to the tonight show, most likely due to NBC exes. Conan suddenly stopped being Conan when he took the chair.

And to save another reply, Leno was firmly in 2nd place until he got Hugh Grant right after his blowjob. That turned the tide for Leno and NBC had given him 2 years in 2nd place before that.

Jay Leno turned serious on his show to discuss the late-night chaos at NBC, telling viewers that he'd been doubtful about launching a prime-time show but was prevented by NBC from going to another network instead.

Leno, in explaining events from his standpoint, also said Monday that he had told NBC he'd return to the "Tonight" slot only after Conan O'Brien rejected the network's plan to put both men on in late night.

NBC continued negotiations Monday on an exit deal with O'Brien that would clear the way for Leno to reclaim the 11:35 p.m. EST slot occupied by "Tonight," which he hosted for 17 years before turning it over to O'Brien last spring.
