I love the riverwalk. The NBA All-Star weekend there was so much fun cuz the Riverwalk was the only place to go in SA at the time. mushy

my dad loves it there! he seems a lot happier, he really likes his job there too! my mom hates it though! lol lol lol she says compared to northern california there isn't much beauty there, not enough trees, etc. i've never been there before so i wouldn't know. having lived in northern california for many years, and now living in the south bay area i do know california is beautiful, places like the sierra nevada mountains, lake tahoe, carmel, etc. she says she hasn't seen anything that's very pretty in texas so far. so i'm curious to see it for myself. biggrin

cool She needs to leave SA, but the hill country is only about 30-45 minutes away and there's lots of nature and trees but it is rather dry. Remember, Texas is larger than most countries and covers a lot of territory. So, just about every type of landscape can be found here if you're willing to travel. For more trees, she needs to come up to East Texas which has tons of pine forests. But Texas is VAST.

you're right! i'll tell her that she needs to venture out more and see some of the areas outside san antonio. she hates that it's so dry around the area she lives. lol

The further West you go the more desert like it gets, the further East is more humid. It really is like a country unto itself cuz if you live in the central part of the state it can take HOURS to get to another state.

I can't get a visa cause I don't have a job, therefore I'm a potential illegal migrant lol
