Ex-UGA star Jermaine Phillips accused of choking wife




Phillips' wife woke him about 4:30 a.m. Sunday to ask about a woman's phone number she found on his cell phone. During the argument that followed, Phillips grabbed his wife's neck, impeding her breathing. She told him she was going to walk the dog and left their house in northwest Tampa.

Oh pschaw. Everybody cheats. This is no big deal. She had to know it was going on. Everyone knows that the woman always knows when her man is cheating. What was she doing going through his phone anyway? And why wasn't she asleep at 4:00 AM, like all decent people are? This is clearly her fault and since everyone else cheats, you should all just pipe down.




Believe it or not, there will be orgers that actually believe the above-listed tripe.

His wife should get a chance to choke him as well, before being sent to jail.

He's my high school classmate from Roswell High School in Roswell, GA. Great athlete, dumb as a box of rocks. We had several classes together and I worked with his dad for the Park department in the mid 1990s.

When I heard this, my jaw dropped. He should have used better judgement than what he exhibited here. Hopefully he will learn from this.

no one, but no one, man or woman should be the victim of domestic violence.
if she woke him at o'dark early to confront him about a phone number then that was not wise on her part, but for him to loose it enough to choke her means that he has those violent tendencies anyway.
in reality he is psychologically jacked up when it comes to controlling his temper. imo some form of physical violence from this man would have happened to her sooner or later. he definently has an anger management problem.

it's been noted that men/women who batter are seeking a sense of power and control over their partners or their own lives, or grew up in violent households, where they watched one of their parents abused and they themselves were possibly abused.

i say, if my man ever were to hit ME, i'd get out the supa glue after he's are asleep (many violent people drink heavily), and glue their hands to a certain body part. (thank the heavens he is a moderate imbiber of alcohol)
