Weather Report in Your Neck of the Woods

Yesterday at 6 pm, 75 degrees, sunny, rolling with the top down sun

Less than 12 hours later 40 degree temp change, rain, 45 mpg wind gusts, snow and even lower temps expected in the next few hours shake

As the saying in Texas goes: If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes it's sure to change. confused

This will undoubtedly affect a lot of travelers. So, if you're traveling be safe and I hope you packed your patience. thumbs up!

What's going on with the weather in your neck of the woods this Xmas Eve??? xmas

Our local weather folks were saying blizzard for Minnie. Is that what you're hearing?

Here, snow on Xmas Eve or day has a less than 5% likelihood so this is a trip. I've lived in Texas almost 30 years and don't think I've ever seen it. It's gonna be sunny but cold (40s) tomorrow. But the rapid change from yesterday is fuckin' crazy shake

Heavy rain expected from 1 to 2 inches from now (11:00 am CST) until noon tomorrow on Christmas Day when it changes over to light snow. This after we had an ice storm which left quarter to half inch thick sheets of ice on the ground, streets, and sidewalks. mad Now we have to worry about the rain melting heavy snow and ice which has already fallen which could cause flash flooding.

There will be blizzard conditions at times, yes. So far it's probably not as bad as they thought. We're getting, like 3-4 waves of 4-6 inches each.

We got your yesterday weather today.

It's absolutely horrible. It was warm yesterday and this morning. Now it's pouring down raining with wind gusts up to 45 miles an hour. A little while ago, I heard a loud cracking sound that sounded like a tree but I don't see one down anywhere. There have been tornado warnings all morning long. And after all this is over, it's supposed to get freezing cold.

Yep, me too. Summer is evil. We get really bad bushfires around here so when we get a day that's anywhere near 40C everybody starts freaking out and hosing their houses down.

I remember one Christmas about 15 years ago when the whole city was surrounded by bushfires. It was 43C and because of the fires and the smoke in the air the sky was RED all day. So creepily post-apocalyptic.

Let's move to Iceland!!!! woot!

Now, we're dealing with an arctic blast, coldest temps in 15 years shake

Current temps in the 20s but it will be in the teens for the next 2 mornings and windchills will be around 0. We won't be above freezing until NEXT Tuesday! shocked

Really, WTF is this??? confused

On Thursday and Friday, temperatures are expected to be between 28 and 13 degrees and the wind chill could dip below zero. At 6 a.m., wind chills across DFW varied from 7 to 14 degrees. On Friday morning, wind chills have the potential to range from -1 to -9 degrees. A winter chill advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Friday.

We've been in deep freeze mode up here too, but it's finally warming up a bit. It's 8 degrees currently (wind chill -11) and it's the warmest morning in about a week.

We're supposed to get back up into the 20's next week, though. woot!

But, you guys are used to this shit. Last year this time we were in the 70s/80s disbelief

We had very little precip overnight but we've had tons of accidents, highway and school closures. I'm just blessed that I don't have to leave the house to work and can roll over and go back to sleep. woot!
