My problem with hetero-sexuality isn't really related to this debate though. I just hate seeing all these shows where there's this dorky main male character and then an absolutely gorgeous female lead who's 20 years younger than him, super-brilliant, extremely charming, and completely unaware of his dorkiness or her own hotness.
There's no realism in it whatsoever. It's written by delusional heterosexual males and endorsed by the wider public.

These are probably the same folks who thought they were being inclusive by adding that one "flamboyant" character to each show (sometimes gay, sometimes gay-but-NOT-gay) who was completely neutered but everyone could laugh at...you know, cause gay is funny.

I am not fighting gay sexuality... I am fighting pornography in general, it shouldn't be on during primetime hours. Yes I monitor what my child watches. We have had to turn off the TV several times when we felt it was too much lewdness for her age. We run a very strict household, that is how my husband and myself were raised and that is how I want to raise my child. When it is time and she is ready we prefer to explain to her about the birds and the bees and we don't want an "Adam Lambert" or anyone else doing our job for us. Get it now? I am sure most conservative American families feel the same way as I do.

well, as it was pointed out earlier in this thread, his performance was after your 10:30 definition of primetime.

and pornography? you MUST be joking. if rubbing someone's face in your no-no parts is wrong, i imagine you must have a long laundry list of all the times it has happened in primetime and earlier between opposite gendered folks on shows like seinfeld and friends and so many more...

what changed since that post? the fact that it was pointed out to you that lambert's performance was after 10:30?

We're not talking about his music, though. We're talking his performances. Going back as far as the Grammy performance in 85, Prince was sexual. The Pussy Control performance on the VH1 show. The performances on Arsenio. The assless pants performance on MTV. Hell, the performance of the medley on the AMAs.

I am sure if I did the research, I would not find any stories or tons of complaints about Prince's performances. it's a double standard and complete bullshit.

OK, his performance of Purple Rain in 85 wasn't sexual at all. It was more emotional than anything.

The performance at the Grammys that year wasn't THAT sexual, either. He had his shirt off. I think he and the band swiveled their hips, and made a pelvic thrust or two. Nothing too major.

The Pussy Control performance was on Cable TV. Not nearly as many people saw that. I would be surprised if a million people saw that performance.

Where as 10-15 million saw Adam Lambert's.

The Arsenio performance was aired Late at Night. So he could definitely get away with more.

Prince never flipped anyone off like Lambert did, either.

Personally, I found his performance to be extremely comical. He was trying WAY too hard!!!
