Whatever color they were they were certainly gorgeous.
And aside from the color of her eyes, everything else about them was perfect too. The size, shape, the way they were set (just the right distance apart from each other), the eyelids, the eyelashes, etc. ... everything was just right.

Suddenly Last Sunday
I don't know if i am bigger taylor fan or a williams fan. I might say williams, but taylor made williams movie come alive. Which by the way williams, did not like the final cut of the movie. I mean they change sebastiane(mispell?) into pedophile but i digress. the intensity of taylor performance, be it campy was one that impress this little man child's heart. cliff, was good and so was hepburn. but taylor stole the cake! i mean c'mon!! how fucking great was her performance! i've become a big williams fan after thaT! and less not forget hot cat on a tin roof. She was real good in that one as well to. It was quite evident biff relationship with "buddy". im too frazzled to make grammar corrections.

I LOVE Liz! She had a big life and really was the first modern movie star in many ways. I always had the feeling that she was nice, decent, kind person.
But my all time fave-Ava Gardner. Perfection. I also love Grace Kelly and Veronica Lake, who is sorely underrated. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Ava and Veronica were also gorgeous. And Garbo and Dietrich too. Too many to name.

It's my mom's favorite too. When we don't know what to get her for Christmas or her birthday, we get her White Diamonds or Burberry perfume "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

But better than the fragrance was the commercial where the filter was so blinding you barely saw her face.

My favorites from that Golden era are Joan Crawford, Katharine Hepburn, Liz, and Bette Davis. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

Tallulah was racist as hell. She once told Lena Horne she liked her negroes to be dark, smiling and happy "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Yes, she was and Louise Brooks was also racist. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Who were the homophobes?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Clark Gable was allegedly one. Old rumors say that Clark had George Cukor kicked off as the original director because George knew that when he was a struggling actor, Clark slept with several powerful male directors.
I am sure that John Wayne was most likely a homophobe. He was also a huge racist. He allegedly gave the KKK huge sums of money in the 50s "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Yeah I forgot about Clark being a "rent boy." I also heard Bogart was a rent boy too...he was supposedly gay friendly though. [Edited 1/6/10 23:05pm]

I haven't seen any of her films. Is she a really great actress too? "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

I doubt it about Bogie. Bogie came from a very, very, very wealthy family and I believe because of that, he had a lot of contacts in the theater world. Rory Calhoun was outed back in the day by Confidential magazine, as was Lizabeth Scott. She sued them for libel, but lost the case, which I find odd. It ruined her career. She is still living-she is in her late 80s "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."
