I love it all too

I may not agree or even understand it but I asked for input so I have no issues with accepting it "gracefully"

what exactly do you mean with that ? I'm not sure I understand ...

I just meant you asked for advice on a specific thing and got lots of advice on lots of other things as well. Some of it I might have been a little put off by..that's all. I wasn't saying anyone was rude or out of line or anything. shrug

Can you show me an example of amazing faux finished walls?

I know you asked OnlyNDaUsa but...I found a couple...but I will admit it was hard to find a couple nice ones in amoungst the shitty ones lol

I love those walls! Very nice....

We'd like to do that in our kitchen.. in a very similar color. But we are looking at texturing the wall differently at one point... I have no idea how to do it.. but my partner does! LOL

I think it would be easier just to do the paint.. Don't you just paint it a solid color, then take a large sponge and apply a darker (or lighter) paint for the faux texturing? I think it would be easier that way.. And easier to change, too.

Yeah, I love that..

^^^
which one?

I think the bathroom one is actually called venictian (sp?) plaster and it's more then just paint...it's got like a tinted plaster thinly spackled...or somethnig. smile
I'd say beware of the sponge...it tends to look a bit harsh...experiment with other techniques like a cheap feather duster or rag. Also the 2 or 3 colors you use should be very light shades of the same color, too much contrast makes it look harsh too. Good luck.
I did my bathroom with a feather duster, it's very subtle. I'll try to remember to take a pic and post it.

hmm...now that I look at that bathroom pic again, maybe it's not venictian plaster....
