Maybe this outfit would be less disturbing if it was worn in another context. Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity

I don´t think she has a bad body for her age, but that outfit is just ugly and doesn´t do her any good. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

It's not that it has to happen, but let's just say it's a lot easier to look great at 20 than at 40--male or female. Pretty much every woman looks good at 20. Some do improve with age, but I think that has more to do with their behavior than nature. My Legacy

I don't think that. Some even get better. But, there's no doubt her body changed drastically after those twins and all the surgery and working out will not restore her to her former glory. I'm sure that if she hadn't had kids or was pregnant with only one she prolly wouldn't have changed as much. But she's still a bad bitch. [Edited 1/7/10 12:01pm]

But then that could just be my age starting to show! women look good from a younger age, it takes men a while to grow into their looks. I think maturity is attractive on men--and that is about more than pure physical appearance, but includes their character. I think women are [perhaps unfairly] judged on a more purely physical basis. I thought you meant how they were perceived, but you meant more how they perceive themselves & the effort they put out. My feeling is that some women don't want to be judged in that way anymore. Maybe they feel like their character is more important than being physically attractive (Personally I think both things are important). Plus there's a lot of work involved for women (hair & makeup & heels) so I see some women adopt mens' styles--short hair, no makeup, jeans & tennis shoes--probably because it's a lot easier! It is easier I agree but where do they lose their femininity? At what point do you say...meh, i dont care anymore... I still like to feel girly, know that my husband still finds me attractive, etc... I cant imagine ever giving up what makes me look like a woman, and that isnt always about make up either... I think thats why women get old and ugly, cuz they dont care... ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

Some of us are still "on the market" and can't afford to let ourselves go. When you're over 40, it becomes harder because a lot of men- even if they are fat, balding and look like shit- think they are entitled to young hotties... I always use the analogy of grocery shopping: Do people buy the dented can with rust and the label hanging off even if the contents are perfectly fine? No. They want a shiny new can. I have to keep it "shiny", or I'll be sitting on that shelf forever... "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

As you said, you don't have to wear makeup & heels to look like a woman. And Halle Berry has done fine with short hair. Well, to choose a simpler style, lets say Sinead O'Connor never looked like a boy! My Legacy
