So as soon as the rumour started everybody (well most people except for a few brilliant friends) made it their priority to be known to dislike me for fear of being associated - anybody asked why they were picking fights it was "because he's gay"...and so the rumour was passed on to the next person.

How it started us too longwinded and childish to explain fully but the basic summary us that, in our playground there was an area which had steps leadind down to it jokingly called 'The Gay Pit'...if u were pushed in it u were "gay"...and I got pushed in. Try explaining the ridiculous story whilst fists are flying.

And that us why the rumour remained...despite 1 or 2 girls (literally) in 7 years taking the chance to get to know me for a few weeks at most before the peer pressure got to them and I was Empedocles with a swift dnial they ever went out with me.

I'm still trying to figure out what boys get picked on for here in Thailand, because they're not picked on for being gay. As a matter of fact I've seen gay boys as young as 13 or 14 flamboyantly 'out' with no fear of persecution.
