Can girls be sexy without painted nails? Yes. Ergo, painted nails are not intrinsically sexy.

guys don't worry much about attachments...I mean, a woman could have a twin like tumor growing from her neck and some guy somwwhere is gonna wanna hit it...
I like painted nails myself, but only slightly more than I like tumors...

of course, I know that I haven't lived for nearly 39 years without being sexy These days, when I see painted nails, I think I think, 'Probably vain, high maintenance. Danger! Danger, Will Robinson!'.

I think I think, 'Does a secure woman need to paint her nails?'.

what about a secure woman who simply likes physical adornment, paints them to suit her aesthetic? or you always assume she does it to get noticed by others? for some reason I think it's kind of a childish thing

AND if a guy assumes a girl paints her nails to be noticed, then he will probably also notice her and know that she is planned for that to happen

Painted nails, in themselves, will never get a girl noticed.

Painted nails, in themselves, will never get a girl noticed. but if it's like red lipstick, an invitation to your gaze, the extra "look at me", exaggeration of the feminine sexuality if you will

OK, say you see a nice looking girl, you think she's very attractive and she seems nice you notice her nails are painted at this point you are turned off because she bothered to paint them and that's high maintenance, wonder if she is out to pull because she has done it to be sexy or because she is insecure other guys also welcome to answer

are they sexy or just an attempt to be sexy (and actually not) is probably more what I am asking

I get my nails done every two weeks- hands and feet.
I like to be neat and look nice; I don't do it to be sexy. I also don't really care if others notice- I do it for me. High maintenance? Nah. When I think high maintenance, I think of someone who gets someone else to pay for it. I PAY FOR IT MYSELF. On the other hand, I don't wear makeup. In a lot of cases, I think that painted faces aren't sexy: overly tweezed eyebrows, clown-like applications, and those God-forsaken lined lips that are a different color than the lipstick. When I hear, "I can't leave the house without my makeup!", I'm more likely to think "vain". "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

manicured nails/hands are sexy. To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

Depends on the woman, her nails, her fingers, the color, the style, etc. etc.
As far as I´m concerned, nails can add to sexiness but not necessarily.I´ve had some great moments with women who didn´t have painted nails. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I don't know about other guys, but my sweetie tells me on a regular basis that he loves my nails.
And he was the one to pestered me to get them done initially. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

like with anything, finding something "sexy" (or simply adding to "sexiness"), whether a man likes them on a woman or not usually has to do with early sexual experience I guess, maybe the first woman he fantasised about/had a memorable sexual experience with, had painted nails and subsequently seeing painted nails brings up those feelings of sexual desire/excitement (fetish).

Painted toe nails are sexy to me.

I doubt most men care or even take notice, to be honest. The "classic" red nails sort of looks silly to me, but I don't mind transparent, shiny polish. Gloss or whatever it is called. Wouldn't consider it a sexual turn-on, nevertheess.
Long fake nails tend to signal "I don't do anything" to me, though.

Painted nails and toenails are extremely sexy. Many sexual acts would not have the same visual without them. Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there

It's just addtional icing ~ if the cake isnt naturally sexy ( which many seem to feel comes from the inner core outward ) then no matter what kinda icing ya paint on ... it's not gonna be any more sexy or, it is you are nautrally sexy - painted nails or not
