Yes, we were supposed to be "the good guys." Then some lunatics hijacked a few of our civilian aircrafts and turned them into suicide weapons of mass destruction. It changed us. It changed me.

Now, instead of leading our typically self-absorbed lives, many of us are truly pissed. Amazingly, when we look around, most of our usual friends, those who have relied heavily on our past support and allegiance (especially the European ones) have deserted us.

Right now, the Iraq nonsense is confusing. We claim they've got chemical and biological weapons, they claim they don't. As an American, I'm given the option to believe a president and an administration that I didn't vote for, or to trust a totalitarian dictator named Saddam Hussein. Forgive my choice. I side with my country.

Sadly, we'll probably only get the proof of their violation of the weapons ban once we're "forced" to attack. The chemical and biological weapons will then magically materialize. I wonder what our "friends" will say then?

So yes, please excuse us for behaving badly. We've been attacked by jackals, then shunned by our friends. Thanks a helluva lot.

Co-sign. People think we should just bomb the hell out of people until we feel better. This justifies ANY crime somebody does to another. Either i am retaliating or i am doing a PREEMTIVE strike to stop you before you can hurt me.
And we'll take your oil while we are at it.

You weren't seen globally as the good guys before then in the eyes of alot of the world.

Now, instead of leading our typically self-absorbed lives, many of us are truly pissed. Amazingly, when we look around, most of our usual friends, those who have relied heavily on our past support and allegiance (especially the European ones) have deserted us.

The Europeans have deserted you because of your governments stance on Iraq and some other issues. Not the stance on terrorism.

Why side with either? Try an objective view of things. Firstly ask, "where is the proof?". After that ask, "Is there a good excuse to go to war?".

Sadly, we'll probably only get the proof of their violation of the weapons ban once we're "forced" to attack. The chemical and biological weapons will then magically materialize. I wonder what our "friends" will say then?

That sounds like a good excuse the kill thousands of people. The hunch they may have weapons of mass destruction. You wonder why epople in other countries are not supporting the US?

So yes, please excuse us for behaving badly. We've been attacked by jackals, then shunned by our friends. Thanks a helluva lot.

You're excused for being angry. That's fair enough, but the most powerful nation in the world is not excused for behaving BADLY.

After September 11th, I became an instant devotee of the carefully planned "preemptive strike." Nonetheless, I view the Afghanistan "campaign" as retaliative. The Taliban and Bin Laden (RIP) deserved every bomb we dropped.

Maybe when these assholes fly a civilian plane into downtown Sydney, or perhaps take out the Eiffel Tower, or release smallpox in downtown Berlin, then maybe our "allies" will see things differently.

Then again, perhaps the best way to keep the world's most powerful nation from "behaving badly" may be to stop provoking it. Think about it.

Many of the dead civilians of Afghanistan were every bit as innocent as the victims of 9/11. In any event, as I said earlier your country has/had broad support for attacks on terrorism, especially with Al Quada connections.

Maybe when these assholes fly a civilian plane into downtown Sydney, or perhaps take out the Eiffel Tower, or release smallpox in downtown Berlin, then maybe our "allies" will see things differently.

They (terrorists with links to Al Quada) have already deliberately bombed and killed over a hundred Australians in Bali. This was mainly due to our support of the USA in it's war in Afghanistan.

Then again, perhaps the best way to keep the world's most powerful nation from "behaving badly" may be to stop provoking it. Think about it.

I cant believe you typed that.

And what about all the bullshit prior to 9/11. There are no excuses for this type of government, where we send shit into space and people walking around homeless. Drug companies running a muck, no damn affordable health care, racism, taxes on everything, including the fucking taxes! Homeland Security? That's bullshit! Secure and protect the people who are CITIZENS. This is also a responsibility for any government.

America!
The international Jekyll and Hyde,
the land of a thousand disguises
sneaks up but rarely surprises.

How long will the citizens sit and wait?
Its looking like Europe in '38 and
did they move to stop Hitler before it was 2 late?
How long, America, before the consequences of:
allowing the press 2 be intimidated
keeping the school systems segregated
watching the the price of everything soar
and hearin complaints because the rich want more
It seems that MacBeth and not his lady went mad.

How much more evidence do the citizens need
that the election was rigged with trickery and greed
And if this is so, and who we got didnt win...
Lets do the whole Goddman election all over again!

GSH... still true 2day!
