You should have said "Houston Peeps" or something like that. I'm in Texas and have never heard of any of the places u mentioned. U know the state is bigger and better than H-Town. No diss to H-Town, but our state is vast and beautiful that H-Town is just a small part of it.

If we're talking music...Austin is more known for music than any other place in the state. Maybe he/she is referring to an old local hot spot.

I know Dallas used to have a lot of clubs and spots that were big in the 80s and 90s. RJ's By The Lake on NW Highway, Voo Coo Ray (Steve Harvey's old comedy club)

I have no problem with strolling down memory lane, but ur header was misleading.

BTW, where are the other Houston peeps? I've met a few here (other than Corey) and I know there are a LOT more here.

RodeoSchro

The Ranger Drive-In and Tele-Wink restaurants.

The Telephone Road Twin Drive-In movie theatre.

Peppermint Park.

The original Gulfgate Mall, especially Playland Toy Store, Sakowitz and the counter at Woolworth's.

Oggerro's Restaurant, where Billy Cannon's Heisman Trophy was on display and anyone could pick it up and hold it if they wanted.

The Astrodome.

Astroworld.

AstroHall.

H&H Music (might still be one of those around).

And finally, Texas Avenue in Baytown, which was the greatest cruising street I have ever seen. It put "American Graffiti" to shame!

I went to Peppermint Park as a kid... and also Westbury Square! What about the Pigstop? The Windsor Twin movie theatre with the huge curved screen?
