Cue johnart... We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

This movie terrifies me. I love it!
Bette is creepy genius in this film. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

It's okay - but I think its reputation outweighs the actual movie.

borgman just said one of the best lines from that movie. I watched this with my grandmother once when I was little and that shit spooked me out!
"Blanche, you aren't ever gonna sell this house... and you aren't ever gonna leave it... either."

"if only i weren't in this wheelchair" "but YAAA'RE, blanche, YAAA'RE" i love that movie. I love when she serves her the rat and laughs outside the door like a witch! Bette was amazing in that film, it's funny to watch the film now knowing how evil and mental Joan Crawford really was compared to how sweet she was in the movie

Classic...two of the finest actresses ever!
Not nearly as scary as Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte or Straight Jacket though. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

WOW! I JUST watched this movie yesterday! It's an excellent film. I'm a big fan of Joan Crawford, and I like Bette Davis a lot too. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee
"Water can nourish me, but water can also carry me. Water has magic laws." - JCVD

Now Mildred Pierce. I watched that one too, on Tuesday! I had a Joan Crawford movie marathon that day. I watched 4 of them. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee
"Water can nourish me, but water can also carry me. Water has magic laws." - JCVD

I had seen bits & pieces of this movie on TV throughout the years, but just had the opportunity to watch it from beginning to end about a month ago... and was blown away, lol. This movie was a HOOT! My favorite line: "I didn't forget your breakfast. I didn't BRING your breakfast, because you didn't eat your din-din". That was one evil Bitch, lol. Wasn't prepared for that final twist at the end though (almost made me feel sorry for Baby Jane, lol), this movie was pure genius.

Here's a "Christmassy" promo shot of a very young Joan.
I have no idea what she's promoting here - other than her own insanity. This always makes me laugh too: http://uncyclopedia.wikia...n_Crawford

One of the best subtle horror flicks ever. Of course you gotta love their individual work to appreciate this film. People get caught up in the way Baby Jane looks. She's not funny, she's pathetic and sad all because of the guilt trip her sister laid on her when they were kids.
