I was in Tampa with friends. We watched the fireworks from one of our apartments overlooking the bay. It was a beautiful evening...nice and cool but not cold. You could still wear a t-shirt standing outside.

We were all in very good moods, and it was more of a quiet contemplation moment than anything else. We were all very much in love with each other at that time, and thought we'd never stray from each other.

Within 3 years, most of us hated each other or didn't speak falloff

falloff WOW!

But... Butt.... That night was quite special. It was one of those nights were everything was just perfect, and you connected so beautiful with people. We went dancing and all had a 'spiritual' time on the dance-floor together the night before. It was like 4 days of bliss with souls you truly loved.

I wonder where those assholes are now...fucking cunts.

1999 I was at the Red Room in downtown Albany with my partner Brian. It wasn't too cold, thank goodness. Everyone took a breath while they stupidly waiting for the world to shut down when Y2K hit. Luckily we lived about 4 blocks from the party, so our travel time was minimal. We actually could have walked there if we really wanted to. It was an okay evening. I drove us back home, and I kisses 69 boff tonk 'd him silly.

10 years ago I was.... like 12. and we had just spent that day moving into a new house. bringing in the new year with an aunt and uncle/ two siblings, parents and some family friends. we maybe had a few candles on stand by incase it was the end of the world as we knew it. at that age i don't think I really cared. it sounded cool to me.

I was actually working as a roulette dealer at the Skycity Casino in Auckland doing the gravy shift (8pm - 4am) and at midnight some balloons came down from the ceiling, afterwards we went and drank a bottle of champagne. My partner, myself and a good friend celebrated together. Same happened last night, except new partner with old partner. They get on quite well. Oh and I was 23 then

Oh and 20 years ago, I remembered watching a Madonna special on TV. My brother and cousin asked if I wanted some biscuits and I said "They are so 1980s". I was 13 then and thought 1990 sounded too cool to be true.

I was going to a party at my aunties house. Just as I was leaving work, an old lady who was a regular customer at my company fell over on the pavement outside and cut her head pretty badly, so I drove her to hospital and spent a good couple of hours with her before driving her home and then arriving fashionably late for the party.

It was a good party though!

I had a friend who had rented a pay per view box strictly to record the Prince concert and then he was going to return it the next day so his wife was recording it for me.

I had to work that evening. Around midnight, I walked across the street where they were throwing a party. They had played shit hop all night long but I figured at least around midnight they might play Prince's "1999". Midnight came, they played the song that everyone plays at midnight after the countdown, then it was back to shit hop as usual. I knew then that the 2000s were going to be no different than the 1990s and I was right.

I had recorded the Prince PPV concert on my VCR while I was at a party at my parents' house watching various relatives get blasted. We played 1999 probably ten times. I vowed never to spend a NYE with family again.

I was 14 and I was at a party at my aunt's house. I'm pretty sure I was hiding in one of the bedrooms and playing video games because one of my drunk uncles kept trying to get me to dance with him confused lol

What the hell do you mean it was simulcast on MTV and VH1??? I had to pay see that concert because it was on Pay Per View. I even had to rent a box just to see it. Now you're telling me 10 years later that it was on basic cable for free? omfg

Yo Prince, I want my motherfucking money back man!!! mad
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.
