Yeah, there was some real craziness to the forums. So many great characters. It almost feels like the org has been neutered in some way. The closing of the forums where the fams could hang out brought down the real estate value of this place big time.

I agree, kinda. I think it is largely that whole 'golden age' thing. But yes, because I've been here a few years myself, I'll totally say it's not as good as it used to be.

i agree about this place.
i still come here, obviously.
but it does lack an edge, bite, wit that used to be the standard around here.
some of the topic titles just make me shake my head these days.

and facebook is what you make out of it. i wasn't a fan at first, i was more of a Myspace guy. now, i don't even know why my Myspace page is still up. i do wish that facebook had music players like Myspace does. i think if you keep facebook to only friends that it's a good way to keep in contact with friends that you don't live close to and can help you feel like you know what's going on in their lives.

if you treat it like Myspace and add anyone that wants to add you and click on every movie, actor/actress, cause that you have a passing fancy in, then yeah it can get a little annoying. but again, it's in YOUR control to change that.
