The songs on your iPod should be on your iTunes, since iPod syncs from whatever is in iTunes.

Not necessarily. | |

If your songs aren't on your computer I'm SURE there must be a program (especially for Windows) which allows you to extract everything from your iPod and save it on your computer. However, I am not familiar with any program that does this sort of task ![]()

this comes up every second month on the org. download Senuti to backup for a small price compared to the task of re-acquiring everything

I burn to DVD discs my entire ITunes collection.
Plan to do it this week since I last did it about 3000 songs ago. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

i downloaded the trial version..it wont let me copy files. ;-( ![]() If you don't need support for iPod Touch/iPhone, download the older, more stable version of Senuti... or... Alternatives: Songbird (Free) Yamipod (Free) Music Rescue 4 (Not Free) iPod Music Liberator (Not Free) If you already have a back-up, you can re-direct your iTunes to pull from that back-up library. . Did you uncheck "Manually manage music and video"? If you've recently installed a new OS or are using a computer without your original DRMs, those songs will not be accessible.

Not necessarily. And I'll say for the millionth time how silly that is. The system is designed to automatically and effortlessly back up your music. Why do people purposefully work around that? "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Why do people purposefully work around that? because sometimes if you take the music off and it goes to automatically back up it will remove all your music and that sucks more that anything. A better bet is to put your music on an SD card, external drive, or something. Plus if your computer should crash you still cannot access your music.

In my case, I delete things because music takes up too much space.
