but opponents of the death penalty when there is overwhelming evidence and a conviction - I'll never understand you Half of state's death-penalty cases were reversed in Illinois, the state/ claimed overwhelming evidence in those cases too. As much as these cases sicken me, I opposed the death penalty.

If they are released, in time they will molest and kill again. These degenerates should be executed. Why waste tax dollars keeping their short-eye asses alive?!
For one, it costs more to keep an inmate on death row and eventually execute them than it does to imprison them for life. I'm not convinced that's true but even if it is... that's why they should be offed right away. Let's not waiste one dirty penny on these fuckers. "not a fan" yeah...ok

Half of the state's death penalty cases...last year? ever? every year? and you say "cases" ?? meaning not convictions, just cases where the death penalty was potentially an option? if that's what it means...well then ok..that means there was NOT overwhelming evidence in those cases.....hence no death penalty sentance. but if you're convicted of something that qualifies for the death penalty and the death penalty is what your given then buh-bye, game over, you lose asshole. I used to support the death penalty...not anymore, not even for fucks like the guys mentioned above...
removing these people from society and keeping them there, imo, would be enough...killing them doesn't change anything...doesn't take back anything they did... sometimes, it's hard to tell the difference between the bloodthirst/revenge factor of a death penalty supporter and the bloodthirst/rage of the killer, molester, abuser, etc... the United States needs an overhaul of it's justice system on a few levels...get rid of mandatory minimums for non violent drug offenders and the prisons will have enough room to house violent offenders for life...I'm amazed that some violent offenders can parole out of prison early but some non violent drug offenders have to remain in prison for the full extent of their sentences...some of those mandatory sentences being life, for non violent crimes!!! however, violent sex offenders can move into your neighborhood, as long as they're registered.... it's bullshit...

WHAT?? it's hard for you to tell the differnce huh? it's not hard for me to tell the difference at all! I think that is a FUCKED up statement. if there's ONE thing people should get enraged about...it's crimes against children. "not a fan" yeah...ok

I agree with the above about non violent drug offenders; however, I still believe that no amount of rehabilitation will help child molesters. If these short-eyes are proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, they need to die. Would you feel differently if it was your child who was brutally raped and murdered?

I don't think rehabilitation is the answer either... lock them away...for life...thats not rehab, thats punishment amd assurance they'll not become a public nuisance again...a sexual predator should never have the chance for parole [Edited 12/31/09 4:17am]

if there's ONE thing people should get enraged about...it's crimes against children. it's not a fucked up statement at all....and has nothing to do with being enraged about crimes against children...of course we should be enraged...and those that commit those crimes should be punished...I just dont think the death penalty is the answer... and look, like it or not, some that support the death penalty are so adamant about it, that you'd swear they get off on killing...

fuck locking them away. why should our tax dollars go to feed, house and possibly help these mofos get phd's or become ministers or heads of non-profit orgs? why should our tax dollars go toward enabling these bastards to potentially assault other inmates? there are certain crimes that are so horrific and there are certain individuals who are beyond any type of cure or understanding. the just and even humane thing to do is to put them out of their misery and ours and protect our children who are the core of our society and future. to have them in and out of the penal system and allow them to molest/rape and even kill over and over again is ludicrous. this is not stealing a car, this is stealing someone's innocence/spirit/peace of mind/mental and physical health - the very things that are part of being human.
