Because it doesn't work. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

vainandy said: I'm gay and give and receive oral only so I wouldn't know. I personally pretty much know when I'm getting ready to come though. But I think I would wear a condom before I would go through a painful procedure though. I can't stand any type of pain whatsoever. That's why I don't do anal. Pre-cum also contains semen and can impregnate. Pulling out is not a reliable method of birth control. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I know someone that just had it done not even two weeks ago.He was at the dr's office 40 mins from start to finish. He said that he experienced mild discomfort but nothing major. He had a little bit of bruising a day or two after wards but he did not take the Arnica as directed 24 hrs prior. He is the 4th guy that I have known that had it done and none of them complained or said it was a horrible experience.

Take a needle in the sac, have it sliced open with a scalpel, have a scissors cut two tubes in your sac, have those cuts cauterized with a burning iron and get sewn back together with a needle and thread. Sounds like a typical Thursday for me. Most places can do a scalpel-less procedure now so no need for stitches.

She doesn't have to have a hysterectomy . . . She can have her tubes tied. But go for it. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

OP,
I have to agree with the posts here that it's no big deal and like you said better option for you than her. The shot in the coin purse was different, but not too bad(and I didn't have the valium that is normally taken preop). The only issue I had was with the vernacular. Now it could have been that training was going on (Dr and interns) but using terms like "death grip" with regards to the cojones royales is unnerving to say the least. So that and the fact that you realize your chicken heart is connected to your neck and the docs can work you like a muppett, it's no big deal. Good luck! it didn't hurt. I was laid up for a day or two, but I had plenty pain meds. I couldn't have sex for a few weeks, I don't know if that will be a big deal for you.
All in all it was easy and one of the better decisions I've made in my adult life.

Not, hubby is older than you and I am older than all of you! Just depends on the procedure. Though you are both great men for going through it for your family. [Edited 12/31/09 4:12am]

pardonme4livin said: It's a weird procedure in that you can feel the tugging and obviously you are awake so you can hear things...the needle to the sac was all that hurt at first.... it is a strange sensation once everything is done...I thought I could feel the disconnection in there when I would walk around at first...some swelling and discomfort to follow...but it is the right thing to do given the other options...glad I did it...my wife...soon to be ex-wife...was and is an ungrateful bitch and pretty much didn't have any sympathy for my pain...hopefully the aftermath will be better for you than it it is for me...it has been almost 10 years since my procedure....no problems with it...everything feels the same afterwards...Sunkist..all the juice and none of the seeds
Good luck.... Imagine having a whord more kids with that witch! Doesn't ball smashing sound sensible?! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
