It's Complicated (Movie Spoiler Warning) Did anyone see this movie yet? Did you like it?
I though it was cute; the story line was not earth shattering but still the movie was refreshing with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. Your thoughts?

I'm going to see it today with one of my favorite funny female friends.
I think it's going to be a hoot to make fun of this movie. Nancy Meyers is always one of the silliest director/writers out there. And I love Meryl, Alec, and Steve.

John Krasinski totally steals the show...he has great comedic timing, imo...he reminds me a bit of Steve Martin who can crack me up with just his facial expressions...

I didn't realize he was really that talented.

Just back from seeing it...
I enjoyed it for the most part. Love Meryl, Alec, and Steve. And John K. was really good too. And I laughed a lot. Still: I went with a good friend of mine, and we had invited a third friend, who declined, simply stating, "I can't in good conscience support a Nancy Meyers movie." I gotta say, I can kind of agree in some ways that the moral choice is to avoid Nancy Meyers movies.

[Edited 1/9/10 6:30am] Yeah, totally. I'd like to see more American films feature real "adult" content.

[Edited 1/9/10 6:30am] Yeah, totally. I'd like to see more American films feature real "adult" content. The scene where they got stoned was my favorite. That was great.

I thought about seeing this movie... but I changed my mind. I'm a little tired of Streep, believe it or not--even though she's obviously a great actress.
I still might go... It's the only movie out there I'm even remotely interested in at the moment. I also wanted to see Nine, but the reviews were so bad, I decided against that one. Lovely Bones... read the book but not interested in the movie, particularly since my favorite actor Ryan Gosling (and fledging songwriter, collaborating to for Dead Man's Bones) quit due to artistic differences--after gaining a huge amount of weight to try to "age" himself. Sherlock Holmes--at first I was really enthusiastic about that one, but now.. not so much for some reason... So... It's Complicated I might just have to shell out a few dollars to see it.

I've also heard Nine is not worth the $7.50 of a matinee from someone whose seen it.
