The second someone doesn't reciprocate is when it's time to stop.
It's a tough one. Flirting is generally flattering, but once it's clear someone isn't interested in flirting back it becomes creepy. Most people know where that line is, but it's really uncomfortable when someone doesn't. |

It's extremely tricky in the US. Especially if the someone is a female, as she can always use her 'non flirt flirting' method where she flirts but makes it appear as if she's not really flirting at all--it's hard to explain.
