Internet explorer question

So the other day my computer suffered a cardiac arrest and I did a system restore. Everything seemed fine till I tried to sign onto the org and I couldn't type my id and password into the little boxes. I also have firefox and it's not having that issue. Where do I find the setting in explorer that will enable me to type into the boxes to fill in forms?

This all happened after I updated Zone Alarm. Could that have something to do with it?

Nothing changed when I disabled the pop up blocker. I checked out some suggestions on other forums but nothing has worked so far. sad

That's one of the options I never used. My desktop is in the living room where my son and his friends have access to it.

Try uninstalling ZoneAlarm, then try it. Also, if the Org is the ONLY website that won't allow to type in the text boxes, add it to your Trusted Sites list by going to Tools>Internet Options, then go to Security tab, Trusted Sites zone, click the Sites button, then add it. Also, make sure you have all of your Windows updates. Between the three of these, it should be working again.

Thanks for the suggestions. The problem was happening in text boxes on all sites. I uninstalled ZA, but no change.

Finally found the fix on Cnet. Apparently when I did the system restore something was missing, so I had to type "regsvr32 mshtmled.dll" into the Start/Run dialog box and viola! I have no idea what that does, but it worked. biggrin

Cool beans! Looks like you just had to re-register the DLL file. Glad you found it.
