A delicious Vegitable Jalfhreeze and Panang Veggies drool

Had a lovely time with a couple of folks, and we broke
Christmas crackers (which fortunately I was familiar with),
as well as met a few wonderful Thai folks.
May not do much at all today on account of not feeling
terribly well, but so far it's been a lovely Christmas. One
of the bests I've had in years--I just wish it could be
cold for one day though. lol

The big celebrations here are on Christmas Eve, so since I went to a traditional German dinner party yesterday, today I'm going to indulge in a lazy, sleep around in my pajamas day for Christmas with old movies, furry house shoes and some good old fashioned soul comfort food. It's still early here yet, but I'd like to have an assortment of soul food goodies to nibble and pick on throughout the day,

roast bbq chicken
cornbread dressing
red beans& rice
turnip greens
macaroni & cheese
rum cake

...and lots of coffee and cocoa spiked with a lil' Baileys giggle

I went visiting tonight, and a southern style German menu was served:

Game Gulash, Knoedel, Rotkohl, and I think some carrots...lots of cinnamon ginger cookies, cake, gluhwein and sekt (German sparkling wine)...really old skool traditional German food.

My exes family had a tradition of making a cake, sort of like a cinnamon and nut cake in a bundt pan. We would have it Christmas morning. They called it Kuchin (or something like that), was supposed to be a German thing.
It was SOOOO yummy with coffee, I can still taste and smell that cake.
Lush!

It is STILL Christmas here...the celebration officially lasts for 3 days; 24th, 25th, and 26th...I was so lazy today cloud9....I'm all food-ed out. I partied from the 20th-24th straight, and I feel so bloated now. The only thing I think I can mustr tonight is some steamed fish with a light salad and clear dressing. I also feel compelled to get my butt up and work out...sweat out some of those damned cookies and cake hunks I've indulged in all week.
