I still have a ton of stuff from back when I would actually consider myself a fanatic, lol...back in the early 90s.

I still have a stand-up, and several posters. They have been in storage for so long, I don't even remember what ones I have.

When I was a teen (in the 70s), I used 2 have The Osmonds, David Cassidy and the Jackson Five all over my walls, so much so, u couldnt see the walls much!!
Then I heard Jean Genie, By David Bowie and then saw who actually sang it and I was sold!! I immediately tore all my Osmonds/David Cassidy/Jackson Five posters down and started putting up every conceivable poster or press pic of David Bowie!! Then I heard Elected by Alice Cooper, and then one half of my room was The David Bowie half and the other half was the Alice Cooper half!!
I was in my 20s when Prince came on2 the scene, and by that time I was married and couldnt afford much memorabilia then of him and I didnt really have the time anyway, 2 follow Prince 2 the extent that I do now, what with having a baby and everything!!
I guess Im making up for lost time now!!

When my sister moved out and I got her room, I inherited her "When Doves Cry" poster that came with the "Purple Rain" LP.

Other than that, I added a Public Enemy poster (from the "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" days), the picture of Malcolm lookin out the window with a rifle, a Dali print, and a Jacob Lawrence print.

i'm not a teen anymore, but i still do that shit... posters, pictures, cut-outs, all that shit... but these days i confine it to the office...

prince, dolemite, rolling stones, johnny cash, keith richards, dead kennedys, homer simpson, p-funk, jimi hendrix, david allan coe, ozzy, ac/dc, social distortion, bob dylan, and the list goes on and on...

my favorite thing that i have in the office is a 6 feet tall cardboard standup of tony the tiger, that my friend surge and i won a few years ago... it's like tony the tiger with a big ass grin on his face giving you a thumbs up... only that surge and i took a box cutter and removed his thumb and relocated it to the middle of his fist... so, now he's flicking everyone the bird with a big smile on his face... biggrin...

Have any of you had posters, on the wall, that was of any celebrity, singer, or famous person? I'm talking more about during the teen years, when you literally didn't care what others thought of your room.

Of course. And I don't think it's something most people would reluctantly admit to. I've never known anyone to be embarrassed about it. It's a typical and traditional TEEN thing to do. I had a lot of Prince posterd, before my headfirst love affair with Prince there were others that populated the bedroom wall. But when it was Prince, my mother made me take his posters down. disbelief So I kept putting this one up there. So...she kept making me take it down. Eventually I put it on the back of the door. She saw it, didn't say anything for a long time, but once she was mad at me for something else that had nothing to do with a Prince poster and told me to take it down. So...I took it down. And put it up again. Was told to take it down, and on and on... I was a stubborn kid. Now, I'm a stubborn adult.

I did have one Prince poster up, it was the one with him all in white, holding a single pink flower.

That's the one.

Most stop because they grow out of it and find other ways to express their admiration.

I used to have tons of them on my walls when I was a teen.

I had two large Prince ones. The one in white holding the flower and also the 1999 one where he is in the purple trenchcoat holding his hands in a diamond in front of his groin.

Mostly the posters were of scantily clad celebrity women. My favourite being a poster of Vanity in black lingerie.

I also had posters of Kate Bush in her Babooshka bikini, along with Christy Brinkly,Sheila E,and many more.

I knew it, Feather!

You Axl Rose lover!

Anyhow, my room is done all up in a collage:

1 side of the room is strictly Elvis. Posters, pictures, records, and the top of another wall is an Elvis clock, some more posters, records, calendars and framed pictures. There's a picture of Prince up there as well, and all of my various corvette photos and posters. There's also a bit of my own artwork (my reproduction of something called "Red River" using magazine clippings), and a picture of the Nautica man, because he's rather lovely!

The side directly across from that contains 2 Star Wars posters, and then it's filled with sports pictures, primarily Shane Battier and Sean Casey. There's pictures of the Brazilian national team, and Ronaldo by himself, and Sergei Fedorov. There's also a picture I found funny I ripped out of a magazine, where it has a couple guys playing hockey, and some clown going around, and it reads, "We don't know what the hell's going on here, but we guarantee you won't have to read about it..." Then, there's a gatorade ad with Vince Carter, with the "LOSER" written across it.

On the last wall, above my bed, I have a t-shirt featuring the original D-X from wrestling (Shawn Michaels, Chyna, and HHH), as well as newspaper articles I liked. One about pyramids, one where President Bush met with the Dalai Lama, and sports news.

The rest is done all in wrestling. I've got magazine clippings that I put in order so it looks like there's a match going on on my wall. There's a graveyard match with Stone Cold, HHH, and The Undertaker, and a match with Sid Vicious and someone. There are pictures of my wrestling hero, Shawn Michaels...And then a funny chef boyardee ad with The Rock. You know, "Don't be a jabroni, eat your beef-a-roni." Makes me laugh!

There's a big D-X foam sign from when I went to wrestling, and then a whole shit load of posters of Christian (who is particularly lovely!), and Edge, and Kurt Angle. And there's also a sign up that says "I'd rather be spanking th monkey" which always makes me laugh. redface

There's a couple of framed pictures of D-X and the NWO I got for Xmas one year...

My door, on the inside, has a big picture of the "Bang 3:16" featuring Stone Cold and Vince McMahon, where Stone Cold made Vince piss himself...smile And a poster of Sean Casey running.

On the outside of the door, I've got a big picture of Penny Hardaway I got from a cereal box, a picture of a fellow playing a clarinet, a Duke Blue Devils sign, and this little basketball that says things when you smack it.

I used to have posters of Hanson and JTT... later it turned into Matchbox20, I Love Lucy, Van Gogh.

Now my room has a sketch of Prince, a promo poster from Emancipation, and a Rave promo flat. As well as a calendar, Japanese handkerchief, and a framed picture of a little Japanese girl.

I'm going to put photocopies of some meaningful poetry up soon, though. Today.

My dorm room had a bunch of promotional mini-posters of Prince, Madonna, Janet, Bjork and Eurythmics.

My current room features a large poster of David Bowie's "Aladdin Sane" album cover.
