Because my family is scotish i make scotish short bread cookies!
1/2 pound sweet butter, softened (do not substitute margarine) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup sifted confectioners' sugar 2 cups flour 1/2 cup cornstarch In mixing bowl, cream together butter, salt and both sugars. Gradually blend in flour and cornstarch which have been sifted together. Shape dough into a 15-in. x 2-in. x 1-in. rectangle; chill. Slice cookies 1/4 inch thick; place on ungreased baking sheet. Make two fork prints on each cookie. Bake at 325 degrees F for 15-18 minutes. Don't overbake-cookies will not brown. Cool on wire rack. you don't have to watch dynasty to have an attitude. | |

This girl at work made rum balls for our Christmas party last week. They were good. That was my first time trying them. She swears she put too much rum in them, but I couldn't tell. Everyone joked that I was an alcoholic.  Someone gave me a Snowman cookie the other day. I'm still eating on it.
