Any dentists on the org? Rugrat tooth injury question My son had an accident today at vacation care, and one of his main front upper teeth is wobbly ( he is 10)
due to work being crazy arse busy, nobody answered the phone when daycare tried to call, and when my mum tried to call Hence, i didnt find out until 6.30 when i got home, too late to take him to my local dentist. my question is, do i try and find an after hours dentist tonight (who will charge like a wounded bull), or will he be fine until tomorrow. the tooth isnt chipped pissed off at work, but thats another story [Edited 12/21/09 0:02am] seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

Maybe try a local GP or hospital for tonight if they're open until you can see a dentist?
Google might help for ways to stop the teeth grinding too

This happened to one of my nephews, you need to get him to a dentist, try an after hours one.
I think that they just push it back in - and he'll have to be very careful until it holds in place. Don't leave it much longer because if you do it can't be pushed back in. I'm no dentist but have had a similar family experience. Good luck.

just give him a glass of whiskey and then pull it out with a pair of plyers, give him another glass of whiskey and he'll be fine. if it's still painfull in the morning, give him another glass of whiskey, and if the pain continues give him another glass of whiskey until the pain goes away

failing that drink the whiskey yourself and you will find it's suddenly not so important any mmore seriously, is it one of his adult teeth?

I would say take him to a dentist. That way the dentist can actually see his teeth and go from there.

And hey - it isn't YOU that's seeing the dentist. By the way, today is my dentist's birthday, so that's bound to be a good omen! And yes - he turns 50 on the day the world is supposed to end in 2012. How cool is that!

No fracture at the root
dentist said there could be nerve damage, but cant tell. will only know if his tooth changes colour. she also said Rugrat did the right thing by pushing it back into its correct alignment, and going there any early wouldnt prevent possible nerve damage if it occurs.. thanks for all you advice and well wishes...and giggles seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before
