My friend undergoes the final stage of her gender transition So, I was in Vegas this weekend and got a chance to see a friend of mine who informed me that next week she will be completing her final phase of her transition from male to female. I'm so excited for her that she finally gets to be the person she feels she was meant to be. I think she's very courageous and I'm so proud of her. I'm totally cool with her decision and support her 100%.
On Saturday, I spent time with her and her boyfriend of more than a year. When they met, he thought she was a girl and when she told him her status he decided to pursue a relationship with her. He apparently is totally straight. Since I'm a nosy ass heffa, I asked her how the sex was. And she said it was good, when they do it. I asked, "Is he uncomfortable because of . . . well . . . you know." She said she wasn't sure but thinks things will improve after her surgery. After spending time with both of them, it's obvious that he loves her very much cuz he was so sweet and attentive and all that. I've always been of the mind that no "truly" straight guy would be sexually involved with a person with a penis regardless of their situation unless they were somewhat gay, bi, or something. But I've heard several people that are pre-op refer to their significant others as straight males. What do ya'll think? Straight dudes, if you fell in love with a girl who was transitioning would you overlook her penis and get down? Would you question your sexuality?

I saw a hermaphrodite that was outwardly male with female genitalia and I was so enraptured that I probably would consider it. At least to know what it was like to be with him.
Congratulations to your friend and tell her WE WISH HER AND HER HUSBAND ALL THE BEST! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

That is really awesome that she found love. I'm sure it can't be very easy for transgendered people to get past that when pursuing relationships. Good for her.

After her surgery, I'ma send her flowers with that phrase on a card, cuz I don't think Hallmark has anything that quite captures the moment. Maybe ya'll should submit suggestions for appropriate well wishes befitting this occasion.

She turns 40 in a few months and I dubbed it her Re-birthday. But she likes inappropriately funny stuff. She literally spit out her drink when I trotted out "Snippity Doo Dah Day" at breakfast. Anyway, what do you think about the straight male part? I'm really intrigued by this idea, not just with them but other times when I've heard people say this?

I agree. I kept telling her that it's hard for most people to find someone that accepts them as they are, flaws and all. But she IS a hot heffa. Makes me SICK! However, the fact that he won't regularly have sex with her causes me to pause. Not sure why but it does. [Edited 12/1/09 20:59pm]

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

and I totally think it's possible for someone to consider themselves a straight male or female and get involved with a transwoman or transman and vise versa you can see yourself as gay or queer. from what I've heard, people in relationships with closeted or even unaware transpeople who continue the relationship through completion of the transition say they're in love with the person and not the gender/sex. it doesn't change their orientation. comes back to that spectrum of human sexuality. everyone = bisexual [Edited 12/1/09 21:18pm] 12/05/2011

I think in theory "it's still the same person" but they will change. Hormones change you to some degree, and I would expect personality changes too - it would be inevitable!

[Edited 12/1/09 21:23pm] So as a gay male, could you see yourself having sex with a transman with breasts and a vagina? How would that work from a sexual attraction standpoint? I'm soooo confuzzled!
