It has warmed up today, and that's probably why I don't mind so much.

It's currently 12 degrees F (-11 C) and it should get up to 25 F (-3.8 C) today. We're back to normal temperatures for this time of year. It's been really cold.

There's not much snow left on the ground, just an inch or so covering the grass. I'm wondering if it will be gone by new year's or if we'll get some more.

January and February can be pretty brutal, though.

Just today? That's everyday for me. Sometimes my alarm clock goes off and I just lay in bed dreading going in.....just thinking. I've been late a few times because of it. It's been really cold too....so yeah staying in, drinking hot cocoa and watching movies would be nice instead of going to work.

There was this author from Lithuania, a Baltic, cold country up north, who wrote a novel about suicide. I´m seriously considering moving to a much warmer country. I´ve seen people in really poor countries but, as naive as it sounds, they seemed happier than most people in richer countries. The higher standard of living and the well paid jobs are like a drug to help people bear this cold climate and socially cold atmosphere. Cuba, for instance, is very poor....but I have never, ever seen more energetic, more vigorous people in my life,even though they couldn´t even afford the basic things in life.
