YAY! Great news!

A few months ago my computer caught a nasty virus and boyfriend had to rebuild it. I lost a lot, but I lost a very important element of my professional life - my accumulative 7 year on air radio work.

Well this morning while looking for an old Foreign Exchange CD, I found the original CD that has ALL my production, air checks, and interviews on it! excited excited excited

I am so STOKED! That was a HUGE part of my life and a very personal and meaningful thing is back!

Now I am going to go upload the CD again and BACK it up immediately! I'm so STOKED! My voice work (award - winning, I must add wink ) has been recovered! This means so much because I've begun doing voice talent out of the home. Some of the work on there was so important. There were also a lot of bits and sound effects I lost, until now! AWESOME!

Carry on. wink excited

Congrats. I always equate these technological victories like finding a 10 or 20 note in a coat pocket. Just makes the day better.

That's great news! I'm sure that it's a huge relief to have all that again. yay!
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Whe I left the station, I sat in that studio and downloaded three CDs full of shit. Then I deleted my files. Those fuckers were NOT going to pimp out my work. I wiped that shit OUT!

I'm so ready to get this shit poppin. Plus I work on a music summit so I get free vendor and ad space all over that shit. I've been working on that conference since 2002. WHY didn't I pimp it before? DUH!

"old" Foreign Exchange CD?

Their oldest CD is like 6 years old (but doesn't sound like it) lol

highfive You know of Foreign Exchange! Yes! Nicolay and Phonte. I love that first album (2004). Although Phonte went OFF on me for not listening to it right away (He lived in Durham, where I lived, ran in same circles). He read me a riot act that felt like a lover's quarrel. I banned his CD for a while for it, but gave in and got hooked.

On my terms. I'd rather do voice work from the house. It's bullshit, but it's really what I was GOOD at. I loved the production element. I've worked with guys that have gone on and do voicing from home. They're pretty happy.

I LOVE the foreign exchange and Phonte's other group, "Zo! and Tigallo". I've made a couple of threads about them in Non Prince but nobody really pays attention to them pout

I've talked to Phonte on Okayplayer a couple of times. He's a real cool guy. He'll probably read me a riot act cuz I haven't really listened to any of Little Brother's albums lol
