The movie "HooK". Iam a massively nostalgic sentimentalist (?), so I do have a soft spot for old "hook". Mr Speilberg has apparantly admitted himself not liking it much, and of course, neither did the critics at the time.
I just love the story so much. The whole idea that Peter Pan grew up and actually forgot who he was sorta reminds me of me sometimes LOL. Corny I know. It was also blessed by a great cast and a great score by John Williams (who I love). Robin Williams was reigned in from his usual buffoonary and to very good effect. Hoffman had fun hamming it up aswell, as did Bob Hoskins. It does have pacing problems, editing could be tighter and diologue better, but I still think its an interesting, if very flawed family film, that could of been amazing. Mind you, the lost boys themselves remind me alot of the kids in Mad Max 3 I feel LOL, | |
