That's code for "I handle permission to use our character and film properties - externally and internally". Heres a question, why are Disney so relaxed with youtube? They dont seem bothered at all and we all know how litigious they are.

My boss gave me a t-shirt that said "Three Men And A Little Lady" on it. It wasn't out yet, and was still in post-production. I wore it out once, and she scolded me later. haha "Don't wear that out yet! We can all get in trouble." I had a giggle over it. But it was just a bit too soon to start putting that out there. It was a fun company to work for. I worked in the valley in the Disney tower (I think that's what we called it; there were two Disney buildings right next to each other). by the golf course? haha no This was downtown Burbank, with the few taller buildings they had over there. It wasn't in the spance of space where Disney, NBC, etc are. (Isn't that Bob Hope Way? God, it's been almost 20 years, how time flies.)

I know a petstore here where I live in Norwich (England) that use to have Mickey Mouse etc.. plastered on their window. Then, a few years ago now, the petstore is still there, but Mickey etc... have mysteriously disspeared from their window display? Is it too far fetched that Disney actually put a stop to the indie petstore using their images? I bet not.

I feel fortunate to have been part of anything out there that I was part of. Theater, Disney (my first temp job was a day or two at Paramount on Melrose, in Human Resources, which is the same Dept I worked at while at KTLA much later). When I wrote my book last year, my mind just flooded with things that happened, people I met (not famous folks, but there were some of those), things I got to say I did (like going to a red carpet movie premiere), ....just everything. Big things come in little packages. I was there less than a year, and had a blast.

I´ve googled your name but the only thing I found is a very expensive book by a magician named Ernest Sewell, it costs 850 $ ! http://www.baumanrarebook...53137.aspx What did you write about? Is it a novel or a collection of memories? [Edited 12/17/09 5:42am] " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! http://www.baumanrarebook...53137.aspx What did you write about? Is it a novel or a collection of memories? It's not published yet. I'm proof reading it at this point, and am slowly getting it done. I plan to published it in the PDF Kindle section of Amazon.com, and as well as other online publishing, or publishing on-demand. I wrote it rather quickly. I just knew it was time to finally write this thing that I'd threatened to write for a while. I spit out about 270 pages, in about 5 weeks. I was FEVERISH on this keyboard, but I got it done.

Congratulations, I bet you are a good writer.Despite the occasional opposing views or opinions and debates here on the org, I really like your style, at least most of the time.I also enjoyed that other stuff about you, the interviews and all.
Good luck with your efforts. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

One more question though...are you and that magician Ernest Sewell somehow related? " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I don't believe it's the same set of Sewell's, although I don't know where his family came from. I know where mine came from. We are from England, and we were bee keepers. A lot of different Sewell family crests have bees on them. I almost think we're somehow related to the Sewell's that started Uno's Pizza in Chicago, but I've never dug deep enough. There were some similarities in that guy's story with our own, that made me think about it a bit. But who knows. But no.....no relation to the magician guy. I forget if it's the same Ernest Sewell or not that either created, or held the patent for a long time, on the rights to the game Tiddly Winks. Everybody's got their something.

Heres a question, why are Disney so relaxed with youtube? They dont seem bothered at all and we all know how litigious they are. YouTube is a sore point with most entertainment content providers. The problem with policing the violations is that each individual violation must be cited in order to provide the court with proper documentation of copyright infringement. The volume of these violations on YouTube and the fact that any user or users can repost the content under a new identity and duplicate the violations over and over again, makes it prohibitive for us to act. Additionally, we have several 'Channels' in place at YouTube that provide official Disney content and it may affect the business relationship to pursue any action. Unfortunately, this is how all social media is being handled at this point. We try to keep the toys to a minimum in Corporate, but I take a free sculpting class taught by an animator here and have finished about seven scupltures of different Disney characters that I keep on my credenza.

Two quick things. 1. I have a friend who is an artist, and no I'm not trying to get him a job. I just thought of him when you popped up w/ Disney. He can draw anything, and I've seen his drawings of The Little Mermaid, and other Disney animated cartoons. I was amazed at how spot on it was. I mean....REALLY. It was almost as if he traced it, but he drew it free hand. The guy is so ridiculously talented, he should have been at Disney this whole time...or Pixar or SOMETHING. 2. Going back to the Family Guy thing....did anyone ever say anything about the season premiere of Family Guy this year? Stewie and Brian traveled through different alternate universes. One was a universe drawn by Disney. There is a big song, and every character had that Disney look to them. (There's even a classic Disney moment, that's very subtle, when Peter slams the door and walks away with his hands on his hips and his nose in the air...CLASSIC Disney pose). But there was a joke when Norm Goldman showed up and they all attacked him. Stewie came to the realization, "Oh I forgot, this is a Disney universe. but look how shiny my buttons are!" "Just push the button!" "Yeah yeah, I'll push the thing." It was a longer segment in the show (compared to just 5, 10, or 30 seconds as some universes got). And it was very Disney drawn/stylized.

It was actually my favorite "universe" in the episode. We're all singing "It's A Wonderful Day For Pie" around here. SRSLY! It's like a perfect Disneyesque song.
