Not really an inspirational story, but i'm sure you'll get a kick out of it;

We had BBQ Chicken for dinner last night; I cut it up and put the stuffing in a bowl for every one to share.

My 8-year-old daughter had some of the stuffing and then said wow mum that stuffing is yummy, that chicken must have had a really nice dinner before they killed it.
lol I'm still laughing

Not a Christmas story, but it will either make you laugh or make you shake

My three daughters like to put on really weird productions for us. Yesterday it was the Pickle War Comedy Show. The 9-yr-old and the 10-yr-old girls dressed up like crazy homeless people, I guess they were supposed to be warriors. I'm talking wild scarves and headbands, the hood to a winter coat without the coat, and mismatched socks. They also each had one boxing glove on. The 12-yr-old was the referee/MC. She had three pickles of different sizes, and starting with the smallest one, she would throw a pickle into the "ring," and the crazy little girls lunged for it, wrestling and beating the hell out of each other to grab it. There were three rounds, and my stomach hurt by the end of it. One would bite the pickle, pickle juice and drool everywhere, then the other would tackle her and grab it out of her hands, then they'd start gleefully punching each other and rolling around on the ground. It was utter insanity.
It's what you make it.

Yes, it is best to embrace it than fight it.

We can be the "Three Scrooges" this year.
I am soooo up for it!

Oh and you made me feel better this morning on FB. So there!

I never feel the ~spirit~ now, how can we when it's so commercialised there's nothing left except buybuybuybuy?

When I have kids, no way I'm bringing them up to want presents, nope, we'll be giving back, donating to charity, volunteering, whatever we can do to actually HELP not consume.

I hate that I can't give any of my 7 cousins a nice card saying I sponsored a child in Africa for them cuz I know they'll look at me like whofarted "Where the heck is my (47th) Bratz doll?"

I hate Christmas. In fact, I wish all holidays from Thanksgiving through President's Day would go away (except ML King day). I found that if I ignore xmas it's much less stressful. smile
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
