Tiger Ho # 2: All About The Fame
December 2009

Stepping out for a night on the town, Jaimee Grubbs was spotted hitting up Tinseltown STK’s Coco De Ville bar in West Hollywood on Tuesday (December 15).

Wearing a sexy little black dress, the alleged mistress of Tiger Woods strutted her stuff past paparazzi - soaking up her newfound fame since the golf great’s affair scandal took over the press headlines.

Meanwhile, a former beau of Miss Grubbs, Blair Johnston, recently revealed to that she’s been boasting about being famous via Tiger’s infidelities.

Reading a text he received from Jaimee, Blair tells, “Hey u… It’s been rough… I’m very well known now and everything I do is being blasted across the Internet. I’m on every news channel and in every magazine as Tiger Woods mistress.”

Of his own romance with the brunette beauty, Johnston said, “I met Jaimee online about six years ago… She was just 18 and I was about 31. We met on a site called HotOrNot.com where you post your picture and then rate people from one to ten. I was talking to her for about a month or two online and then that’s when I went to see her in San Diego and we hooked up. We’ve stayed in touch over the years.”

Adding that the recent high-profile fling changed her sweet nature, Blair tells, “She just doesn’t seem like the same Jaimee. Not the Jaimee I knew anyways.”

whofarted Uh-oh, he in trouble for real now

Doctor involved in doping case charged in Canada

WASHINGTON (AP)—A doctor who has treated golfer Tiger Woods and many other pro athletes was charged by Canadian authorities on Wednesday with selling an unapproved drug known as Actovegin.

Dr. Anthony Galea, 51, also was charged with conspiracy to import an unapproved drug, conspiracy to export a drug and smuggling goods into Canada by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Galea was arrested Oct. 15 in Toronto.

A person familiar with the investigation said it was carried out by with help from the FBI. The person was not authorized to discuss the case and therefore spoke on condition of anonymity.

Galea’s lawyer denied any wrongdoing at a news conference in Toronto on Tuesday.

“He looks forward to being vindicated,” attorney Brian H. Greenspan said. “He’s a physician who has always engaged in lawful practices. He’s never been involved in any improprieties, any misconduct, any unlawful conduct.”

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Marc LaPorte said Galea was arrested in October after a search warrant was executed at the Institute of Sports Medicine Health and Wellness Centre near Toronto.

Greenspan said the investigation began when the doctor’s assistant, who often drove around Galea, was stopped at the Canada-U.S. border. Human growth hormone and Actovegin, a drug extracted from calf’s blood, were found in Galea’s bag in the car, The New York Times reported.

Using, selling or importing Actovegin is illegal in the United States.

Greenspan confirmed Galea has used HGH himself and prescribed it to non-athlete patients over the age of 40 to improve their quality of life, but said he has never given it to athletes.

“It’s a therapeutic substance that extends life, and in his view the literature supports the prudent use of HGH in older people that enhances their general health,” Greenspan said.

The FBI has opened an investigation based in part on medical records found on Galea’s computer relating to several professional athletes, people briefed on the inquiry told the Times on condition of anonymity because they did not want to be identified discussing a continuing investigation.

The anonymous sources did not disclose the names of the athletes, and Galea told the newspaper “it would be impossible” for investigators to have found material linking his athletes to performance-enhancing drugs.

The Times reported that Galea visited Woods’ home in Florida at least four times in February and March to provide platelet-rich plasma therapy after his agents at International Management Group became concerned by the golfer’s slow recovery from June 2008 knee surgery.

In an e-mail to the AP, agent Mark Steinberg said: “No one at IMG has ever met or recommended Dr. Galea, nor were we worried about the progress of Tiger’s recovery, as the Times falsely reported. The treatment Tiger received is a widely accepted therapy and to suggest some connection with illegality is recklessly irresponsible.”

In the therapy, the patient’s blood is drawn and put through a centrifuge that separates out the platelets, which are then injected into the area of the injury. The platelets contain growth factors that can heal tissue, said Dr. Allan Mishra, an orthopedic surgeon at the Stanford University Medical Center and one of the leading researchers in the field.

Mishra said research is ongoing, but the therapy has proved successful at treating ailments such as tennis elbow. Starting Jan. 1, the World Anti-Doping Agency is banning the re-injection of platelets into muscles because that may enhance performance. Athletes can still inject them into joints and tendons to help recovery from injury if they follow procedures to declare the use to WADA.

Woods announced Friday that he was taking an indefinite leave from golf to concentrate on his marriage after he admitted to marital infidelity. Greenspan suggested his client’s case was receiving outsized attention because of the scandal swirling around Woods.

“It’s tragic that it happens to come unfortunately at a time when one of his patients is suffering through a media frenzy, which as a result has put him in the eye of the storm as well,” he said.

Swimmer Dara Torres told the Times that Galea found a previously undiagnosed tear in her quad tendon. Her agent, Evan Morgenstein, told the AP that Torres was not available for comment Monday night.

“Excluding draining my knee, he has never treated me, but I did see his chiropractor who did soft-tissue work on my leg,” Torres said in an e-mail to the newspaper. “That was the extent of my visit with him.”

The Times reported in a story on its Web site Tuesday night that New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes, Colorado closer Huston Street and former Washington pitcher John Patterson also were treated by Galea.

The International Olympic Committee became concerned about Actovegin in 2000 after it appeared during that year’s Tour de France, said Dr. Gary Wadler, who leads the committee that determines the World Anti-Doping Agency’s banned-substances list.

The drug was placed on the banned list, then removed a year later because more evidence was needed as to whether it was performance-enhancing or damaging to athletes’ health, he said.

“It doesn’t seem to have been a major issue in recent times,” Wadler said.

Ron Artest's open letter to Tiger

http://www.ronartest.com/blog/?p=74

Dear Tiger,

In reading the statements you have made, I can tell you are a stand up guy. Please remember only Jesus is perfect. You made a mistake and you admitted your infidelity.

I have made the same mistakes. Before I got married to my wife, I had a baby with another young lady, after I already had two by my girlfriend who is now my wife. We also had another baby which makes three for us and four for me. Two boys and two girls.

My wife is a much better wife than I am a husband. We still argue and disagree after being together 16 years. and I still cope with the fact that there are so many women out there and I choose to stay loyal to my wife.

I want to be home every night, but with traveling I can’t, and sometimes I might want to go to a bar or club and be one of the fellas. Most of the time I stay in, because I have my kids and wife.

I cannot sit here and say the thought to have many women has never crossed my mind. If I were Jesus I could.

I have known my wife for 16 years– since I was 14 years old.

She was my first.

On the way to 2010 we had many ups and downs on the way, mostly my fault. But I really choose to work hard and play ball to support her and my kids. The same reason you are building your legacy.

I have been disturbed by this because there are many people who are happy that this bad news has come out.

There are a lot of sports announcers and regular reporters who are not perfect in their own homes, yet they want to bring you down.

You have done so much for people, the sport of golf, and your family and you gave your wife a life that people can’t even dream of.

I thought you were 36 or 37 until I read the news today. A 33-year-old man who has been a model citizen with so much at stake. This is your first publicly known issue since you started your career, compared to my 50 or more publicly known issues and mistakes.

You have been the perfect role model for me and my sons for longer than anyone I have known.

With the exception of a few legends.

As your fan, I can’t wait to see you golf again.
And us athletes know how much you personally love your family.

One love,
Ron Artest

This is just a fan mail letter to Tiger Woods fans and indirectly to Tiger himself.
Please, everyone support Tiger in these tough times for his family.

Also if you are a sports announcer or regular everyday reporter or blogger please step up like Tiger and tell your wife or husband if you have any skeletons in your closet. Especially if you were one of the few attacking TIGER!!

One Love People
