The first magazine I worked for after I graduated from college had a dress code--shirts and ties and slacks for all the men. Hated it.

Slacks! hah!

Sup orgers?
Ive been wearing ordinary clothes and having a normal haircut for a year now, cause im looking for a job at the moment.
I still see some people in my own age who dress like punk rockers, goths, etc. or just have their own style.
Its a mystery to me what these people work with, if they work at all.
Do you have a special style? How do you combine that with your work/profession?

Outside the office I usually dress conservatively casual. Lucky me that's perfectly okay at my office.

I work in the creative department of a large casual clothing company, so I have carte blanche to wear pretty much what I like. Most days, I wear jeans or skirts with layered tees, sweaters and scarves. I also wear dresses on occasion (more so in the summer). It's rare that I'm not rockin' a great pair of shoes.

I never wear anything sloppy, but I don't overdress, either. shrug
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

And shoes, not boots! And most days, I wore a blazer over the shirt and tie. neutral

I dress like some tweedy, bespectacled college professor, which works because that's kinda where I'm headed. And when I need to get all preachermanish, I just throw this getup on over my clothes and call it a day...

This is the suit I was talking about. I haven't got one of my amazing technicolour dreamcoat to hand at the moment, but I'll take one at some point.

At my job, me and my other work mate are basically the lowest of the totem pole. The actual library manager just told us to wear clean clothes. I mean, they wear some funky ass clothes themselves, stuff from grunge to what the fuck style. Its a library, no body checks out our clothing.
